Dude…I feel like I wrote this bc it’s exactly how I see things nowadays. This world outside of humanity in general is just plain evil in its conception. I’m not sure how we could possibly think it was the product of something divine. Every living thing has to consume other life in order to survive. The heart of whatever designed this place was completely corrupt. Natural disasters such as tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, tsunamis, not to mention pathogen bacteria and viruses, cancers..etc. All of these things…steal, kill, and destroy. Yes I know exactly how you feel. I truly question if God exist. If he does he seems pretty useless to me and hasn’t proven to be omnipotent as his followers claim he is! If he is almighty then why does evil still exist? If he hates evil deeds then simply eliminate the problem. Yep, also not everyone turns out of struggles the same way, they be like thinking: I broke up with my gf and my dad died, now I am stronger than ever, I learned emotional skills and how to stop worrying about that I can’t change. I'm asking a legitimate question, I'm not trying to insult or offend anyone, I'm genuinely asking. I personally hate god, but for what he's done to everyone, not just me. I hear people say that suffering it to teach obedience or to give free will, but by the time it's all said and done, it does more harm than good. I don't want anything given to me just because, but there are people who earned much more than what they're getting, or getting way more than they deserve. And then there's the accepting him into your heart thing I don't understand, why do I need to, you love people who have done great things for you, and people you would do great things for, which as far as I'm aware of, he's done the opposite, and made us want to do the opposite. The sign of a good leader is putting others before yourself, and all I've seen and heard is him wanting us to be more like him which is unbelievably selfish to me. And the one thing I don't know if I can forgive him for, punishing the entire human race because 2 people sinned, that's group punishment and is single handedly responsible for the death of everyone, I'm pretty sure group punishment is a war crime let alone dooming everyone to death. Discipline to teach is one thing, but nothing was taught, and all that is taught is worship, and worship is the most selfish thing someone can ask for. Again I don't mean to offend, I just want clarification.

Thanks for sharing! I’m not going to pretend to have the perfect answer, especially in a KZbin chat post, but I’d like to address your comment! For starters, God is not the ruler of this world. Yes, he has ultimate control, but the ruler of this world is Satan/the devil. So when someone does good, and then bad things happen, yes they happen because God is “testing” him or building his faith, but more than that, Satan is attacking. Satan hated God and wants everyone else to hate him too, so he does what he can to get in the way. Jesus wants us to be more like him. But he doesn’t do it selfishly. Jesus came to earth to serve, love, and die, taking the punishment that we deserved on him. So when he says “be like me”, he’s saying show love to others, build others up, put God first. And it’s not for any earthly reward like better finances or longer life. It’s because we will ultimately be happier and more content in life. God made Adam and Eve perfect. When they disobeyed (sinned), God cursed them. Their curse was integrated into them, in a sense. Almost like changing DNA. So when they had a kid, sin went from Adam to his kid. So God did not directly curse every human being because Adam sucks at not eating apples, but at the same time he did. It’s weird. A more detailed answer can be given in a more theological sense, but it’s complicated. As for accepting Jesus into your heart… we all sin (thanks Adam) and fall short of God’s glory. Since we sin, we need to be punished. There comes a time when every man will die and then face judgment. If we lived a perfect life without sin, we are free to go! If not, if we have any sin, we are punished (separated from God). Since every person is a sinner, God needed to step in and take the punishment on himself. Because Jesus was innocent, he was able to take our punishment on the cross. So if you accept that he did that, and “invite him into your heart”, you’re trusting that on judgment day, he’s got your back. And you’ll be free to go into everlasting life with God! Life on earth is 100 years. Heaven is eternal. Suffering for a mere moment is a little price for an eternity of paradise. You don't die because Adam and eve sinned, you die because you sinned. Have you ever lied, stolen, hated someone, hurt someone, had premarital relations? All of us have. The bible says the wages of sin are death. God does not cause Suffering. We cause suffering by how we treat each other. You blame God for what humans do. Humans created sin not God. He gave us the garden of eden and we ruined it. This is why Jesus is so important. We deserve what we get but Jesus came to save us anyways. You said you have no reason to love God but here's your reason. The real question is why does God love us even though we do evil and hurt each other? Thats what real love is. Real love is sacrificial and not conditional. God loves us because he is good. I believe in God but my life was alot better before i knew him. I had the usual losses, pain and lack same as now , but they increased and the tests God does are rotten. As a new beliver , 5 yrs now they have been exhausting. Every area of my life was hit, all at once still ongoing. The reason people walk away is because there is no tiny bit of respite from these tests. I never asked for a celebrity life, just calmness, peace and enough to live on and get by , it's mad what happened. And to top it all This year my brother who i was close to died suddenly, And in a flash God brought my toxic family who abandoned their ill mother and raised hell for me while caring for her before she passed away, back into my life, one even practices new age. They fought with me and her medical team, i had boundaries set up, Well God broke them down without me even seeing it coming. I do believe he loves some but hates others. And i believe he hates me. Life is one BIG test from him. An experiment. And if we pass it we get to go to heaven.

I don't think I asked too much. I just wanted to be loved and accepted. I did not get that from my parents and I am alone with little hope of finding a wife. I was born with mental problems that have not ruined my life but have made it more challenging than normal people. I did not ask for money or fame. I AM thankful that I have a place to live and a job. I am not hurting financially at least. Emotionally God seems to be as absent as my father was. The bare minimum is what I got from my father and now it seems like that is all I will get from God. I feel like a dog in a cage. You know the ones I'm talking about. They have food and water and they are healthy but they spend their days alone with no one to pay attention to them. They get a pat on the head and maybe a pet or two when the food comes out but then its locked away again and ignored until the next day. If you define love as "fixing it" then you lose. If you define love as being there, holding you up, providing for your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. It is very easy for so many of us single men to really hate God since he punished many of us with singleness, even though many of us never wanted to be in the first place. And the kind of very evil and rotten women that he really created these days certainly didn't help much either. Because angels aren't fallen beings like us. We disobeyed God in the first place and now we are dying. But some angels will suffer too though. They're called fallen angels. The difference is that God gave us salvation and grace and the angels not. Because it was all revealed to the angels what God is, and what righteousness and wickedness are. Sin kills. Because it is the opposite of God. The angels know fully knows that. Humans didn't even see the whole form of God aside from the Son, who was only seen for a number of yrs.

At that point, I'd probably refer to The Book of Job, or how Jesus' apostles were persecuted and executed, that this world is not our terminal home, and God's Grace is indeed enough: He offered us eternal life in His kingdom through Jesus.

Most atheist don't believe in God not because it's a logical problem but because it would be inconvenient for them if God did exist. Because you don't want to follow a deity that you hate but problem is that because you hate that deity and that deity does exist then you would have to experience serious consequences as a result so at the end of the day it's just easier and more convenient for you to pretend God doesn't exist. It would be one thing if you just simply say "I don't know if there is a God or not" that would be understandable, but instead you have some atheist who spend all their time on the internet watching videos about God and telling other people who believe that this God exists that he doesn't exist and then you're saying hateful things about their God that they love and respect because you hate God and you hate those who follow God or at the very least hate the idea that people follow this God that you hate. Ive felt the holy spirit multiple times, Ive felt God touch me in ways I cannot comprehend. Yet I continue to fall into spiritual sin. And, the more that I think about it, Ive caused myself to fall into darkness. I have spiritual OCD and its hard to hear God's voice. It almost feels impossible. But I know that God IS with me. And his words are true. Multiple times, I've been hurt. But it only gave me strength. Ive prayed for peace, strength, friends, knowledge, and he's given me all of it. But I didnt notice that strength can only be obtained through hardship. Faith and peace can only be obtained through hardships. And, the more I think about it, Hardships are good, they help us to gain strength and faith. But right now, my mind feels numb. I dont know what Im doing, I dont know where I'm going. Maybe this is a time where I learn to trust in God. I have a desire to be with him, and I just feel so lost right now. But I know that God loves me, and that he will never be mad at me. He even said it himself, in the bible, he promised to never be mad at me. So why am I mad at him? He's been nothing but encouraging and strengthing. Hes given me everything, so why am I still mad? I havent commit blaspheme, Im not heartless, but my mind is completely numb. I dont know who needed to hear this, I felt the spirit while writing this. Maybe it was for me, I dont know. But God's plan never fails, I know that from experience. So, dont give up. Please just pray to him, he will help.
