Dinkum Mate! Was in Oz back in 1980; my brother and a mutual close friend took the train from Sydney to Perth and then by rental car up 'round the top, and back down to Sydney. Great time, great blokes and the beer is always cold! Your desert areas are the most interesting and beautiful, but damn - everything wants to main, kill or eat you there; even a beautiful little sea shell! Even a bird wants to disembowel you - yikes!!! All the best, from Montreal, Quebec...

Don't depend on KZbin as an income .. Set you life on the love of the wilderness and construction of your cabin and the long term plan of that .. Film you doing that with the overall plan of actually surviving and thriving in your awesome property , ..KZbin come or go , any incoming revenue will be a huge bonus .. Everything you've filmed so far is quality and your work hard and real , film more of that and have faith we will stay to watch .. I've personally enjoyed and thrived from you adventures so far and looking to many more , cheers Clay sending you much regards from Melbourne Australia..

I'm late to the game and you probably don't read comments on old videos but in case you do and are still looking for that spring, I would respectfully suggest that you explore around that old trappers cabin across the river. The oldtimer who built it likely built it there for a reason. That reason may have been a spring close by. You've probably already thought about that though.

Such an incredible time we are living in now, makes you really appreciate those pioneers that were doing this with much less in the 1800's and early 1900's. One that note may I suggest a amazon wish list or a P.O Box in that supply town, I am sure people would chip in to help if needed. Just a suggestion, keep the rubber side down and always remember to smile.

Awesome video. I as well have been watching from day one. Glad you bit the bullet to make it your dream. Love the boat an excellent decision. Bigger boat motor might definitely be a future purchase, but one step at a time. That bear will be back and might bring a friend, so be prepared.. Creative way to clean the air filter. If you ever have to do that again and even as a regular maintenance on equipment just use a little gasoline and rinse well then let them dry out. Works amazing. Cheers. Red Deer, Ab

A great video. Most people probably would have skipped right to transporting to the cabin. It’s nice to see things as they happen and not so orchestrated that it’s like there is an army of people laying everything out for them. My advice is work and do what you need to do around your cabin building scouting trail work cable car etc 5 days a week while filming what you can or want to film and try and do a supply run one day and edit and post the video on another. Rinse and repeat. Don’t burn yourself out If you can’t get a weekly video out don’t stress about it. I wish I could be doing the same thing as you or out there helping.

My only issue with how you're living at the cabin I your kitchen situation. At the very beginning when you were cooking under the lean to I thought " isn't he just attracting bears , especially leaving pots and pans outside hanging up ?" And then the very next time you left the cabin the bear came and trashed the site. I am worried you are going to end up with a VERY big problem if you don't make an indoor kitchen at least to store your stuff. Loving this series though !!! Best of luck , but PLEASE do something about your cooking situation. Cheers !

It's totally unthinkable to be able to leave anything out over any time expecting to find it when you return here in South Africa. If your car gets parked anywhere that's not in a suburban setting at least, you can't count on having wheels left. I've seen a car turned onto it's roof so that they could get at the gearbox. I definitely need to relocate.👍

Greetings youngman, my name is Brings Otter. I live on the smallest reservation in South Dakota along the Big Sioux River. Im retired for some time now. I am in the process of giving my house to one of my daughters to live in and as I write this I am dealing on a 12 X 18 storage shed type that I am going to renovate into a mini home for myself and my black labs. Its a win/win I get the mini home and my daughter gets free rent. Plus I get 6 grandchildren 4 boys who I plan to use building a nice little fishing house for us down in the woods along the river. I fully support what your doing youngman, you are going to come out of this a wiser more compassionate man. I want and plan on showing my support to you, actually I have to have my son show me that operation, you can tell my age by that lol I remember in college if we wanted a small survey to be calculated it took a stack of punch cards then to the computer science lab turn the cards in and two days later you got your two page survey results. I digress ..... keep your goal in mind remember tough times never last, tough people always do! Im gonna keep an eye on you youngman! Each morning our way is to pray to the morning star, you have my prayers, Ohan Mitakuyaoyasin ( we are all related)
