@SovereignwindVODs3 жыл бұрын
@@AA-sr5mr Well that depends. I'd have to give it to Game Knights if we're talking from a production standpoint. They make everything really easy to follow and keep track of what's going on. But that production value definitely takes away from the people playing the game and that's where IHYD shines. Minimal production that lets you enjoy the personal interactions.
@mwbwyatt3 жыл бұрын
@@SovereignwindVODs that may be true but i do love game knights when they invite professor, ladee, the one time they invited postie, or cassius. the production level is rediculous on game knights, and i think i like extra turns more for the *pure* gameplay from them. but ihyd is truely speshul with the chemistry the groups have.
@jimcook70533 жыл бұрын
Were these games fun? I don't find combo decks with minimal interaction fun. T4 & T6 zur combo - not really similar power decks. The funny thing is if post is playing a different deck they probably all mill out in the 2nd game. My solution is to let the combo player go off - then you ignore his turn & play for 2nd. You can even encourage the combo player to go sit at there own table & let you know what turn they went off. Or just stop inviting them.
@AA-sr5mr3 жыл бұрын
@@jimcook7053 first things first: if you don‘t like combo, cool. Usually, I do neither. But that‘s exactly what I love about IHYD: it is the purest form of commander for me, hanging with your buddies, roasting each other and having a good time. The artist definitely is great since I took one look at the card and wondered If it was made on paint because the skin color, and anatomy looked like it was clicked and dragged onto the canvas but it was actually drawn by the artist. It's impressive and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way, just saying it seems like a waste to go for realism in a set about wizards and wizard life. If anything, it seems like a wasted opportunity to draw something more beyond reality. My go to example is the Japanese demonic tutor. 39:35 The starting of The Profs rant. Possibly one of the greatest things I've seen in a long time.
@salvadortoscano25343 жыл бұрын
I mean the first half of his rant was correct, Wizards is in Seattle, and that place is worse than California xD The art thing, though, meh. I don't like the arcane faithless looting, I'd just buy a differnet art faithless because *I'm broke as fuck* :D
@vileluca3 жыл бұрын
@@salvadortoscano2534 It's really hard to be worse than California. And yes he's incorrect on the card art issue - "dirty poopoo kaka alt-righters" don't use Reddit.

"greatest"...Mmm. Not so sure. "Least self-aware"? Yeah. Yeah it was missing any sense of self-awareness. The art thing happened like..What..Over half a year ago? And he's still ranting about it after telling people not to comment about things they don't like or that he "moves on"? I guess he didn't really "move on" if it's still living in his head daily.

1:05:50 A rules clarification on Grim Tutor and Mindcrank. When you begin to resolve Grim Tutor, you will search your library for the card and place it in your hand. Then you lose 3 life.
