I did exactly the same, bought a new GSA Trophy and love it. I also like the new 1300 GSA however I don't want to become a BMW test driver of new technology so I'll wait a couple of years before I join the 1300 family.

I cannot get over the off-center mount of the Connected Ride nav unit. From the factory no less. I just bought a new boxer RS and was able to get it off the handlebar yoke and up into the windshield with the German Hornig mount that has adjustable centering set screws. That would drive me nuts having it like that.

I have always wanted a GSA and I finally pulled the trigger on one this spring. I have yet to gel with the bike but in my defense I haven't had much time to stack many miles on it yet either. I find myself eyeing the 1300 GS Trophy but I refuse to buy a first year bike so for now I'll keep the 1250 and enjoy it for a few more years until I can no longer fight the urge to upgrade to a 1300.

GSA was the 911 Porsche of the Motorcycles. Porsche killed it by pushing the prices to well over mid 100K for even a base model, and BMW killed it with that Ugly Lego design. I owned both, the 911 and GS multiple times. And now, I would not touch neither. Both Companies strived immensely with $2 Trillion Dollars handed out by the Fed Reserve in Panic Mode. Going forward, $35K price with tax and tags, BMW will have hard time selling the 1300 GSA, just like the Market is flooded with $250K Porsche 911s now. With the $1,250 Cash back, plus the Dealer discount and supported finance rate, 1250 GSA is the most intelligence choice. Happy rides.

I just test rode the 1300 GS trophy, and its funtastic bike. I like the 1300 GS more than the 1250. I also have 2021 RR, 2023 C400GT
