I Hunted Shiny Pokemon WITHOUT Moving

This cave spawns alot of hoothoot without an outbreak for anyone who wants to use it to shiny hunt. Theres a small island across the cave and flying to it and back resets the hoothoot spawns

I was hunting a shiny female Hoothoot So I popped a shiny normal sandwich and looked for it 15 minutes in I got 2 shiny hoothoots at the same time They both where male

​@@Victoria69420I was hunting a shiny hoot-hoot in general but I ran out of herba mystica, so I just did a normal level 2 sandwich. The only other pokemon to spawn was a shiny cleffa.

There area few caves that can do the picknick i noticed and theres usually one spot in a corner that makes you far away enough to spawn new pokemon inside. This, instead of having to go outside and spawn other pokemon. Those will be technically still in your circle if you cant go deep enough into the cave

Quick tip You can use the zl button to make your pokemon autobattle the specific pokemon

Honestly hoothoot is pretty awesome, plus the shiny colors. Also there are a few afk shinies in caves for some reason. Pretty cool channel. 10/10

i get the struggle with the cave spawn thing omg- i really wanted to hunt jangmo-o and got an outbreak in a cave but no matter even if i found a spawn spot- it just wouldn't spawn more than like three max, got the shiny in the end through by going somewhere else instead of an outbreak and just using encounter sandwiches haha

This is basically the applin afk shiny hunt with more rules but I dig it anyways.

I debated mentioning the applin one as that is a super easy one to get too. But with this hunt, I had to have the Pokemon walk over to me and the applin kinda just stays put so I thought this was a bit more creative for vid :D

Doesn't whistling have Pokémon come towards you? agro pokémon probably would of worked with this idea since they would come to try attack you on purpose

I think whistles are only for your partner mon! Maybe I'm wrong. I never even knew that was a thing until the DLC haha

This was a fun video. Just one thing though, when you say 'favourite Pokémon' are you meaning the whole evolutionary line in general or actually _just_ that specific Pokémon? Just wondering because I don't really have a favourite as say like Volcarona, I like the whole line equally. Also; @ 8:48 when re-naming were you looking for just an approximation to the actual name of the famous Owl in Ocarina? It's: Kaepora , just for reference.

my shiny dragonite (my baby girl) is glitched in the auto-battle feature. she flies out of bounds every time - to the point where she will despawn. i have NO idea why this happens and only to her hahah but i wish i could've lent her to you. probably the only time her glitch would be useful

Correct! I basically found my point to not move, turned off auto save, knock out everything and then if no shiny appears, I reset! But there are other ways to speed up the odds too. I recommend watching a picnic reset guide if you don’t already know about that!

Someone else commented that and at the time of recording this, I thought the whistle feature only applied to your party pokemon. Didn't know if it worked for wild Pokemon too!

DUDE! You have 2 Circles around you. One of the max range until were pokemon can spawn around you and a min circle. Like pokemon only spawn 5 to 10 meters around you. they dont spawn near you. Lmao

Congrats on the shiny ! hoothoot was my first shiny fail because I did find one on sun and moon , I caught it and named it Lemon pie but my dad unplugged my ds and I forgot to save then it ran out of charge and Lemon pie was lost 🥲 im glad you caught this one it makes me feel better about the one I lost !
