Hi, I have just read the Water2 comment feed. They state this… • Author Water2 Water2 is a drinking water specialised filter designed to connect directly to your cold water tap. It is not suitable to be used as a whole house filter. This direct from the Water2 people 🤷♂️ I would have connected it to the cold feed kitchen tap.

@the4dudleys that's interesting. They make a big deal on some of their videos about how it should be installed onto the main feed to prevent us from bathing in chlorine. I am planning on doing a bit of additional research to see if chlorine on the skin is such a big deal because the filter itself reduces the water flow, it now takes ages to run a bath. I am planning on moving the filter for this reason. I don't suppose you have a link to where your info came from do you? I would like to see that for myself.

@@cars365official thank you. The plumbers who have seen the video disagree but what do they know 🤣

My word lol. 😬 By the way, you have fitted it to your whole house feed, it's meant for a single tap only, it's not going to last long or at all. I'm getting inundated with calls to fit these because people find out they actually cant. Thank you Water2!
@dannyiwan75665 күн бұрын
@@benmcdonnell85 not according to it's advertising. The advertising says fit it to the entire house and the filter cartridge will last 1 year. Only time will tell how long it really lasts.

Just needed to take the old olive off or shove it downva tad using some pliars or mole grip that would of allowed the nut to marry the thread :) Good job overall.

Fitted it to his whole house 😬. I'm getting call after call to have theirs fitted as people are finding out they actually cant themselves. Thanks to Water2! 😁

@benmcdonnell85 the advert says to fit it to the whole house. What makes you feel this is the incorrect thing to do?
@jamierandell3482 күн бұрын
You could of hacksawed the old olive off and replaced with a new one ptfe tape was wound on the thread the wrong direction so when connecting it it will unravel the tape. Most of all you have just filtered the whole house filtered baths, filtered showers, filtered washing up, filtered watering of the garden and filtered flushing of the bog. Sorry but this is basics of DIY 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Hi Jamie, Thanks for your comment. I did consider sawing off the olive but went for the easier option because I had the parts on hand. I have had a lot of people tell me that it is a mistake to install the water 2 filters to the entire incoming water supply. However, it is a large part of the marketing for the product that it should be installed where I did. It's supposed to filter the entire house, bog and all 🤷♂️. I will however be doing further research into the effects of showering in chlorine, because if it is unnecessary, I will move it because it has restricted the water flow so now it takes a long time to fill the bath.
