Fair question. The Impreza does not come with a 6MT or a 2.5, unless you get a new RS. The Crosstrek is designed to pull a trailer and even if lowered still has more has more ground clearance than the Impreza's super low 5.1" of clearance. Skad0oo0sh is in good company with his decision to lower the Crosstrek because Subaru also decided that the Crosstrek could stand to be lower so they made the 2024+ JDM Crosstrek lower than all the previous generations.

Love these coilovers on the Crosstrek. Thanks for the video. I just got a 2021 Sport in the same color and love it but I want to lower it about 1-1.5". Looks like coilovers are the easiest way to dial it in.

@@skad0oo0sh39 I just picked up an 2021 Impreza sport-🤣 hatchback in manual transmission because one it was all I could budget, and two,....it was the only and I do mean "ONLY" manual I could find 😂. I still enjoy driving it though....🏹🤠👍

Good job on the suspension swap. Did n you find that the driver side was lower than the passenger side in the rear? Also, what exhaust do you have?

How is the stiffness on the coilovers? My Impreza hatchback is at 92k miles and ready for a suspension upgrade - I'm still deciding between BC coilovers or lowering springs. I'd definitely go with the springs if there were aftermarket struts available (KYB GR-2 struts and Swift lowering springs totally transformed my 2001 Forester). I've been told pretty much all coilovers will be way too stiff for daily driving, especially up here in pothole-ridden Pennsylvania.

Yea I installed some old gen 2012 crosstrek coilovers on my 2023 crosstrek and it’s really low but for some reason I can’t get the fronts to match the height of rears do you think you can help?

do the rally armor mudflaps touch the ground with coilovers? I currently just have lowering springs but eventually want coilovers too!

Not in typical driving situations, i have heard them scrape on speed bumps and such but they are so strong you cant even tell. On my WRX i had them pretty much dragging the ground for probably 10k+ miles and there is barley even a nick in them! Rally Armor makes such good stuff!

What do you have for specs on the coils. Are they just the wrx 08 to 14s with a softer spring rate? Been wanting to go with BCs but havent had a chance to look into them too much.

They are BC Coils made for 2018+ Crosstrek. BC put 6k front and 8k spring rates on it for me and it rides amazing!

"You turned it into an impreza". No he did not. I got a 2023 premium crosstrek 6 speed for $24,800 with 6 miles. The impreza manual 5 speed is garbage and the interior is terrible. Not to mention the exterior looks completely different. Not everyone drives off road with a crosstrek. Lowering it isn't a big deal if it's on the road most of its' life.

Respectfully, a lowered Crosstrek ≠ Impreza. The Impreza does not come with a 6MT or a 2.5 unless you get a new RS. The Crosstrek is designed to pull a trailer and even when lowered the Crosstrek still has more has more ground clearance than the Impreza's low 5.1" of clearance. Subaru agrees that the Crosstrek could stand to be lower so they made the 2024+ JDM Crosstrek lower than all the previous generations. Plus the Crosstrek has a distinct look, especially the Sport if you prefer an off-road appearance more than a street appearance.
