@TheHamburgler123
@TheHamburgler123 9 ай бұрын
It really depends on what you mean by "this age". Average life expectancy, which is actually not that great of a metric to use, is still 76 in the US. Many of the people interviewed in this video were below that age. Some people just have horrible luck, be it some genetic condition or a workplace accident, and die young. However, for most people, you very much have control over how well you take care of yourself. Over two thirds of American adults are either overweight or obese. If you carry those bad habits with you for decades of your life, chances of making it past 76, or even to 76 in the first place, aren't great. However, if you took care of yourself most of your life, have a healthy social life, stay active, etc. and you reach 76? You likely still have another decade or two left in you.

Growing up is realizing that getting older is getting wiser and more days go by as we age. Seeing young people (calling out myself as well) spend day after day on social media and spending their worth on looks and likes is so much different than how it was back then. I think it’s beautiful that there was a time in history where people use to go to ballrooms and skating rinks just to meet people. It’s something that I wish still existed.

My grandparents live in this community and it's kind of crazy seeing journalism take place so close to where they live. Some of these clips where from places I have been while visiting which is an odd sensation. It's even more unusual because I've been watching your channel for a bit now. It's comforting seeing how happy the people in this community are and knowing that my grandparents most likely are too. Anyways, massive respect brother. Keep doing what you're doing.

If you're young and listen to this video go back and hear it again and truly listen to the wisdom that those old people were providing. All of it was completely correct and very reliable information.

"Young kids". Yet, they should get married off to a more successful older man... Right. Paradoxical of their natures. It's a child's nature to not do any adult things, not the contrary. Let kids be kids. Young kids should focus on marriage, my as. Morally, that's so wrong on so many levels. Like christ, they are children. A child should not conceive a child.

@@DreamynightmareNo one said anything about kids, just young people. Like instead of being absolutely shameless in your 20s, maybe focus on finding something stable.

I love The Villages! I went there for a wedding once. It seemed like a safe and happy place to live with so many fun things to do. You can go anywhere on your golf cart. I would definitely retire there someday (but not for the swinging though 😂).

My granny would hate it there. She’s a sweet old lady but she’s rather people leave her alone. She usually says nothing to strangers that want to talk to her but if it’s family she’s always like “Okay that’s enough interaction for today, don’t come back too soon”. 😂 Love her so much.

I was talking to my 94 yr old dad the other day. He stills lives with my 93 yr old mom in their house. He said, "As you are...I once was. As I am, so you shall be." Not his original quote but it's a zinger for anyone younger than the person they are talking to! I can only hope to make it to my parents' age with similar health and vibrancy.

I like that man's answer about regrets. Much better than the advice/lie about living a life with no regrets. It's ok to regret things you've done. In fact, I feel like it's healthy to have regrets cuz it means you tried, most likely failed, and, most importantly, learned. Just don't dwell on those regrets
