I got a plug in Niro but wasn't ready for the full EV yet. One reason why is things like this...Wednesday we went on a 2 hour drive, the destination had EV chargers but the app didn't work. Either crashed or said a something went wrong and wouldn't let me enter any payment info. The app reviews mostly had similar comments and I was unable to charge at all, but being a hybrid I just drove back mainly using gas. If I had an EV only and needed to charge I would have been out of luck. Seems like many locations buy cheap EV chargers for their customers/guests to use just assuming they are all the same, not knowing these cheap ones are not reliable or don't have support. Maybe my next car will be EV once the charger network is more reliable and batteries have improved by one more generation.

Thank you for the info! What app were you using? I am worried about things like this and I was doing some research and saw similar issues. Like I was reading one where the charger is at a Harley Dealer and not really accessible for cars but people in cars would show up and try and charge there. I think this is the waekness of the non-Tesla vehicles. Tesla chargers are probably way more reliable, but also I have seen issues where their charging stations get super busy if its the only one in the area.

My 22 model came with a level 1 charger under the cargo floor.

Very interested in your long distance trip. Also, when you're ready to do some donuts, call me, we'll do a comparison. 😁
