Dude, awesome video. I went sailing for the first time last week and i'm trying to decide if I'm just temporarily excited or if this is a 'thing' for me now. If i still feel like this in 3 months, ill be buying one.

I bought my first boat, a Cal 224, at age 24. I had no sailing experience. It was a great boat, perfect for learning. Sailing became a major part of my life…that little Cal was the first of 5 sailboats I’ve owned, (2 Norsemen and 2 Hunters)all of which were fantastic boats.

This was my first boat as well. On just our third trip we got cault in a force ten gale thunder and lightening tender on tow full of water. It was great fun. Been out in seven other storms since. Last one rudder snapped on my now boat a Dockrell 22. God I love sailing better than hang gliding.

Hi, I enjoyed your video very much. My worry is the use of gas on your yacht.!unless you are a gas fitter what you are doing could be illegal. Remember gas explodes when it settles in bilges. Pleas buy a gas alarm as well. One doesn’t want you falling a sleep and not waking up. All the best Tony W
@snee85 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the message. I agree about the gas, it's not ideal at all. If I'm sleeping on the boat I disconnect the gas and put the gas bottle outside the cabin. The gas alarm is something I'll buy. As for the legality of it I think I should be OK as its a camping gas stove and bottle.

Nice video, everyone is a novice when they start, key is soak up everything you can read, watch and chat about to fellow sailors who are further down the track of experience.
