Fantastic stuff! Victor ah what a comic that was, the cover story was always a true story from the war. I also loved Buster, 2000AD and the Commando comic books too. I feel sorry that kids today don’t get that weekly comic experience.
@williamstevenson46943 жыл бұрын
yep those commando comic's were mean,, i just found series on you tube called COMBAT its cool from 1964.The e.p's are from the combat comic and commando...if you like old school war movies check it out will...n.z

I'm going to do a video about Victor and Tiger & Speed comics. These are very much comics for red blooded boys which they just wouldn't get away with these days, sadly.
@VantagePointrocks3 жыл бұрын
You're welcome. I'm sure you've had a read through them by now, so you'll have to let me know what happened to the traitor in the team. I read it as a kid, but I've long since forgotten, I assume though that he got his comeuppance ...
@AllThings80s3 жыл бұрын
I've skimmed through the comics but I'm waiting to do my videos on them before i really dive into them. Thank you again!!!

Love this video, Dean. I remember buying Victor and Tiger & Speed every week, along with Bullet, Warlord, Eagle and of course 2000 AD. Prices for these British comics are astronomical in America and they are even rising over here in the UK. Luckily, I have been picking up certain British comics recently, at great prices, to put away for the future.
@AllThings80s3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, some of the prices are eye watering. I think it's great to have some of these in my possession, as I can open one and get transported right back to the early 80s.

That's a wonderful story about reconnecting with an old friend after a live stream! With the Metallica style intro on your videos it totally makes sense you were in an old band ;)

That's strange at8, I've only just been sorting out my vintage British comics a couple of hours before your video was released. So I will watch this video with excitement. Cheers dude for this one. 👍 🇬🇧 ✌️

Old comics from the 80s are the best. They were printed on real paper, and there's a lot more story and art than today's comics, which I very seldom buy as they seem to be nearly as much ads as story. I have some Xmen from the early 80s and Superman issues from the later 80s, that I reread all the time. Nostalgia is a powerful force indeed.

Would love to see an AT8 Duran Duran video. Shame nobody has ever made Duran Duran action figures based on their iconic videos.

I'll definitely do a Duran Duran video soon. I have the Duran Duran Funko Pops, but they're pretty awful. I'd love to see some Wild Boys figures.

These things are so evocative. I've been trying to reacquire a Conan comic that I bought in the summer between leaving primary school and starting secondary school. I can't remember much about it, so I've been scanning the covers to see if anything rings a bell.

I do the same thing and often scan through listings of certain magazines on eBay to see if any ring a bell.

Great video bringing back memories yet again. The smaller beanos were great, and like the summer specials I think were quarterly with extra games and puzzles in them possibly as well as the longer stories ? The free gifts in the beanos were always a playground must - kazoos and cardboard snappers etc.. I recently re joined the Dennis the Menace fan club and although it’s a newer ( you could almost say repro ) wallet ,badges and membership cards they’re very true to the original and a great thing to get a version of back.

I loved the free gifts that came with the comics. I particularly liked those cardboard snappers.
