After Criss Isaak recieved a phonecall from a woman trying to arrange a hookup, he sat down and wrote the song being about "what happens when you have a strong attraction to people that aren't necessarily good for you".

I fell madly in love with Chris Isaak when his first album dropped and this song is one that I never stopped listening to! It is the most seductively beautiful song EVER. Another one of my favorites by him is You Owe Me Some Kind of Love and his version of Solitary Man. Chris's voice and style always reminds me of a modern version of the old Rock a Billy 60's artists. I saw him live in a small venue and he is amazing live, especially in a small venue with good acoustics! He's also a really nice guy with a great sense of humor too! LOVE CHRIS!!!

Back in the early 1980's Chris's band The Silvertones were fixtures here on the San Francisco club scene. Our band did several shows with his band. Omg, it looks like my favourite baby girl is in love! hahaha! I feel like the father of the bride giving her away and all I can do is smile with love and pride. ♥ Seriously though, Chris Isaak's voice is just as smooth and romantic in person. That he's still just a really nice guy only adds to his charm. One thing that really stands out with Chris and his band is how they all portray the mood of the song. That gorgeous, heavily reverbed guitar echoes the emotion to the point that it sounds like the guitar is crying. The brushes on the snare drum give the song a lovely roll that feels almost dreamlike, and the bass is kept simple, yet never dull. This is one of the tightest bands to ever take a stage and that's not an easy task considering the number of great bands. Congratulations of reaching 40K! It was the middle of summer, it was outdoors, and I live in Central Arkansas, so it was freaking HOT, even for an evening concert. I don’t know how he kept from falling over from heat exhaustion in the first five minutes!

I met Chris Isaak back in 2001 and again in 2003 a few times! He was doing his tv sitcom in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Chris was so sexy back then too!! Such a nice guy as well as his band mates!
