The firing pin won't protrude through the frame if the trigger is not being pulled, the transfer bar retracts out of the way and the hollow in the hammer doesn't allow the firing pin to move.

Ruger was willing to fix the Super Blackhawk 44 mag that was my dad's, that I had given to my sister. She treasured it, and that was why in a bad break up he hammered it into concrete and it 'blew up'. It fired out of battery, and ended up blowing up the dumbass's hand and mangled the Ruger. They were willing to still warentee it.

That's amazing customer service. 👍🏼

Send it back to the factory; Ruger has a good customer service & if it is out of warranty, they have a fair price on complete rebuilds! Go to your local F.F.L. dealer & send it off! They fixed my Blackhawk & it was out of warranty, but money well spent,for a now like new gun!

The term for the flat donut thing is "bushing" and it's a press-fit which yeah, would be very hard to remove without a press and jig. Ruger will replace that for you if you send it to them.

so my frame is like a solid mat black. is there a way to lighten it in spots to get a more case color look? thanks
@SapperGentleman2 жыл бұрын
If it's blued they sell blue remover. If it's like a matte Parkerized finish (I had some Ubertis like that) you'll need to sand the finish down first, then try rebluing it. Let me link a video showing DIY job I did.
