Of course, the general populus are addicted to those stupid station wagons being sold as suv's. There's a 70s Fairlane I've been eyeballin about two hoods away from me, that I'd love to have. I could see dropping in either the 3.7 eco or the godzilla in it, probably the eco for weight, it moves the f150 and Transit well enough and is already starting with 420 or so horsepower. An om606 sounds like a good idea, but I don't think I'd want it in anything 3500+lbs, but that might just be my paranoia about stressing engines, it's a small diesel about the size of a RB26 or the barra.

EV's can surpass that 700 easily... it's not about the speed or horsepower cause ev's have that in spades. It's the sound and feel of the engine, being able to burn out... the reason ev's aren't as popular is the cost of the replacement batteries and we just don't have the infrastructure for them yet. So 700 horsepower isn't exactly insanity anymore.

You're getting a lot of things wrong regarding the trims. The R/T and Scat Pack are full EVs. The Inline 6 is in the 6 pack so far. So the 670hp one is an EV.

Fun fact: The EVs weight around 6000lbs. And you thought they were heavy before. And from the numbers I've been hearing, that Daytona R/T EV runs around 4.7 0-60 and has a top speed of 137mph. That's literally around what a stock 5.7 makes with only 380hp. I feel like the Daytona R/T would get it from a dig but it'd get squashed by the S650 in a roll. Not even close.

Now don't get me wrong, dodge switching from making the charger from ev to ice is amazing news but in no way shape or form an inline 6 can replace the characteristics and charm of a V8 motor. A smaller V8 combined with electric motors would be a better option if you ask me.
