It feels so good to have To your Eternity back for a season two. We still have the same opening theme song, but with new fantastic visuals. Fushi's journey continues, but the Nokkers are wreaking havoc. Seeing a grown Tonari was great, but Hisame had me until the tea. This series had a good start, and look forward to seeing the next episode.

Tonari spent a lot of time explaining how resistant to poison. I've got real bad feeling she's going to join Fushi's memory theater soon. The Black being's suggestion that the Nokkers may be setting traps suggests intelligent behavior; which we haven't really seen before. I thought the Nokkers were mindless creatures operating on instinct. Are the Nokkers evolving or have they learned to use the brains of their human victims? Perhaps the Hayase Nokker became self aware?

We already got Tonari (btw the girl changed so much that I only recognized her when she started talking about her resistance to poinson)but I’m also curious in how’s Rean doing after all this time. Tho what I’m most curious about is what did Pioran become to be helping Fushi,hopefully they’ll answer that soon,I’ve been really curious ever since the last episode of last season. 40 years time skip and it was interesting to see Tonari and that was unexpected. Hayase definitely disgusts me. Fushi is definitely much more mature although if he switched forms his forms reverts back in age. Hermit life and hermit crab lol. It’s interesting how Fushi is a simple protagonist with his desires like how we have ichigo and Denji this season. The director is different but the staff is the same and the studio is different. The OP is nostalgic and there’s some interesting new characters. As I recall, Hayase plays a big role indirectly with the series like you see with her granddaughter here. I do think the progression is different now compared to the beginning with a more mature and intelligent Fushi so it’s going in a different natural progression in regards to the sadness and the plot

To Your Eternity is back baby!Adult Tonari and Hayase's reincarnation was one of the big shockers to me in this episode knowing that the Nokker possess Hayase on the boat. l thought Hayase was gonna turn into an immortal zombie that would chase Fushi in the next season. l did not expect the Nokker would be passed down unto her grandchild and the goal to capture Fushi is pretty messed up! Overall, what a twist! I knew l wouldn't trust that little girl!

For me the bird gave it away that she was connected to Tonari, but didn't expect it being herself. And it seems Fushi still is pretty naïve even though he gotten more aware of dangers of the Nokkers.

#1 - I'm glad they kept the same opening theme song. I wouldn't mind if they Hunter x Hunter'ed it up and use the same song for the next 100 episodes. #2 - I didn't expect that to be Tonari. I actually thought she was the bad guy until that name came up. #3 - I had forgotten this show was even airing this month. Your upload right here is the reason I was reminded. Good looking-out, yet again.

After the end of the S1 I bought all the mangas and then never stopped waiting for the new chapters. In a single year it became my 2nd favourite manga ever. I read all volumes multiple times, and every time it made me feel and think so much things. At this point Im shocked I still can cry or feel happy from some panels I've seen dozen of times. This is the only manga with Land of the Lustrous that made me feel that. ANYWAY, Im so much excited for the return of the show. Old Bleach fan here and Chainsaw reader, Im even more excited by the return of To Your Eternity. Im glad you're stll making reviews of this show. It's cool to have the point of view from an anime only, even more when he's one of your fav anime content creator. I hope you'll enjoy the ride ! And thanks for all the work done this channel.

Really glad its back. Your reviews for s1 were alway a great thing to watch after the episode, so its great that you are covering s2. P.S. Visually the new studio did great - it looks the same as the season 1, they use the same music from s1, and have that wooden wall with faces on it as a breaking trasnition in the middle of the episode - it just feels like a continuation of season 1, so I am very satisfied how they did it.

The pacing was really off this episode tho, it felt like I was watching it at 1.25x speed. Very rushed. No break in between the dialogues, sudden cutting from one sequence to another without any proper flow, like they didn't give the audience any time to breathe.

I just had a preestablished idea of how i wanted the island chapter to feel, but it doesnt mean they have to match what i imagined myself as a manga reader. The pacing was fine. And by the second half of the episode it was all good.

I'm surprised people didnt realize it was Tonari and her friend from the start of the episode. Tonari and her friend are the only few from Fushi's life who haven't died yet, so bringing them back in ep 1 is both smart and sad. They wouldn't be showing up if something wasn't about to go down. As for the little girl, nope. Once she said she was the reincarnation of the witch. all bets were off.

Not really forty year old, he wasted two years being a sea creature, and few years Getting good at hunting knokkers so that he don't need to transform anymore. Also + the default age of Boy. This is why Sandel and Tonari looks significantly older than Fushi. Estimates are they are about in their late 50's at this point.

To be completely honest, I barely paid attention during the later half of season one. The whole prison island arc dragged on a bit too long for me and I didn't really care for any of those characters when they were (almost) all killed off. I only remembered that one of them (who I was pretty sure survived) had a pet hawk. So when we were shown a character trying to save the village and it lingered a little too long on a circling bird overhead and told it had been about 40 years, I was 90% it was Tonari (although I couldn't recall her name until they said it. The poison resistance thing is very interesting development though... I wonder how long it will be until Fushi gets her form (and the skill that accompanies it).

It's back! TYE is back and it's back to bring us more pain and depression. Luckily it wasn't a big wait since the first season and the manga has entered its final arc as of January 2023 probably when the second season will end. Hopefully we get a third season right after. I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been a lot of chat about S2 since this was last year's top show but the again there is so much airing this season that it's easy to overlook. The delayed start will have an effect but once some of the other shows like CSM ends in another 10 weeks, more people will come to check this show out and catch up for the second cour. Visually it hasn't changed all too much but there are some differences here and there and I feel like it returned to more of a healthier production since the prison island arc was a bit hit and miss with some of the animation and art looking a bit wonky at times. I cannot believe it's been 40 years since the last time we saw our characters. Fushi has matured quite a bit in that time. He abandoned his humanity and spent 2 years living as the marine creatures not knowing what he went through and was enjoying life it seems until shadow being brought him back to fight the damn knockers. Those guys just can't let Fushi live. And now that he fought them off for 40 years on an island, they tried to get him to come to them as they attack innocent people. That little girl could not be trusted as soon as she said she's a descendant of Hayase. That's a huge red flag. And she did the same thing as Hayase. Trying to keep Fushi for herself. Maybe she can be reasoned with but we shall see. I was surprised Tonari came back. I was expecting the woman to be some doctor with really good immunity to poison but she was badass. She got more balls than most of the people in that room, including Fushi. The OP is still great and the visuals are crazier than the last one. The ending is really nice too. The visuals and the music that plays with it. It's fairly relaxing. Overall a great episode to come back to and this series is just top tier.

Feels great to watch "To Your Eternity" again. So, let the anguish, torment, and, emotional distress, "BEGIN!!" Advancing the time period to 40 years ahead into the future, will say a lot of things. Some of the main important things would be: - How much things have either changed or remained the same? - How many people have died, during their natural/unnatural time span? - How many people are still struggling, surviving, progressing, evolving, or expiring? Its very interesting to say, because of the numerous amounts of stories that can be told, within the past 40 years, Now that it has been realized with a couple of characters. 2 familiar faces, except that they are now in their late 40's to early 50's, and a new face that came to being from a generation before her birth. As they say "The more things change, the more they stay the same". However, there is another quote that really gets me the most "Old habits die hard", as at the end, Fushi gets poisoned, wondering, what is going to happen next, and at an unfortunate time like this. Looking forward to next week. Until then, Enjoy!

TYE was the anime that got me to finally get a Crunchyroll sub, since I just used Funimation before. I love how it's like a meme in this series that Fushi gets constantly poisoned because of his naivety!, it was a welcome surprise to realize the show was to air today! They had some notable productions issues during the last arc of the previous season so I'm glad they decided to re-use the opening song and be more conservative with the budget (if there's one anime that deserved to keep it's opening it was either this show or Spy x Family, those two openings fit the series like a glove). I can't wait for the flamboyant character dressed in purple to be introduced! I didn't finish his arc in the manga but he already became my favorite with Gugu!

For me personally the series started off good but then it just turned to absolute shit halfway through, sorry man I don't know anyone else sees in the series and I probably never will. Side note: The thing one of the things I just breaks every bit of immersion for me is the idea that an immortal being that has no mortal digestive track or anything like a real digestive track or anything like that could possibly be poisoned or would even need to eat, but whatever. This show just seems pointless to me is all.

He has a real digestive track lol, when he transform to human he transforms to a legit human. If he become an eyeless crab he loses vision, if he tranforms into a dog he sees in black and white, etc. Etc. If he transforms into rock he will lose self awareness and is basically become a non living thing. You seems to lack some understanding about the show so that's probably why youre immersion is not that deep.
