This is absolutely fascinating. I wonder if this might be applied to other arts as well, like Western Boxing for example? Maybe this is why Naoya Inoue hits so hard.

This is an interesting concept. I am going to try and practice this technique myself. Great video.

A minor point: the illustration of the spine at 13:58 is flipped on the horizontal axis compared to what would make sense. The illustration is of a spine facing left, while Yusuke is facing right. There are three (or four) natural curves of the spine: the cervical lordosis, the thoracic kyphosis and the lumbar lordosis (as well as the sacral kyphosis). Fujiwara sensei is presumably talking about the thoracic kyphosis, which, if facing right, curves like this (.

This is good to learn. It’s the same as what one of my teachers say, structure gives the power.

I trained in Wado Ryu in the early '70s in the U.K. we were taught the basis of this, a lot of importance was placed on the stance being correct, not tense but sank into the stance, sitting into it in other words, keeping your torso upright. I got to Brown Belt, which took five years, our grades, White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Black first Dan, and so on, two years between each Dan grading. I think that it's been lost through the years, I see many Dan grades these days with very poor form, we used to drill stances alone without kicking or punching, those were added to the drilling once you mastered the stance.

Excellent uploading and material is always a technique is is only as good as the man who uses it the more confident the more you fight the more you train the more you begin to bust the sandbag fight against human beings the more effective your confidence grows the better your attack will just show through all the years understanding to protect and defend yourself the more confident as you are the skill the more the skill will be the most destructive because you are at be well striking from every position being ready at all times countering dodging and always being 100 Infinity steps ahead and leaving nothing to chance

The Easiest description, is the Difference between a motor driven mechanism, and a Hydraulic driven system. Liquids can not be Compressed... which is why they use Hydraulics to be able to lift extremely Heavy things. Things that would not be so easily moved with just a Strong Electric Motor (and would be very dangerous to do so). The body is mostly water. When you can learn how to move your +150 lbs of water in a relaxed and fluid way... it becomes an extremely powerful force. Much stronger than mere Muscular strength alone. These teachings, are part of the "Internal Arts".. which came from the highest level of Chinese combat arts methods. You cant SEE any difference with your eyes. For these things, you tend to need to feel it for yourself... via someone that can demo it to you physically... and them potentially teach it to you. Internal work, takes a lot more time and effort to master, than most are willing to put in, to attain. But once Mastered, its a Stratospheric difference in potentials and capabilities.
