Good morning. I really love watching your videos. I actually watch a lot of garden videos and one guy in NC also had a mosquito problem in his yard/garden. His solution was creating a good environment for the dragonflies, which hunt the mosquitoes. Hope this helps.

It does! And the cool thing is that we've been seeing so many dragon flies lately 😍

Good evening so I wasn’t in my garden for like three days not because I was out of town or anything. I just got so busy with Life and Just so much and I went back and I found so much good stuff happening and I’m already succession. Planning some things I had to pull out, but I have a lot of tomatoes that are popping up. I’m not even sure the variety of them. I think they are from last year. I am growing a few, I can’t think of the name. I think it’s cherry tomatoes and I know I’m gonna start seeds today or tomorrow for the candy cane peppers. But at this time, everything looks so lush. I took a backstab and just took a nice picture of my garden. It’s so pretty. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

Missed you this week! I have been seeing a lot of videos stating to use real vanilla extract, not imitation mixed with your body lotion. I slather it everywhere on my self and my baby and works like magic to keep mosquitos away. Just thought I would share!

🥰🥰🥰 I need to try this vanilla extract trick! I've seen this trending as well!

Jeremiah 29:11A For I Know the Plans I have for you, Says The Lord…. God’s Plan for you cannot be interrupted. It doesn’t matter what things appear to be. It doesn’t matter what situations may occur. It doesn’t matter if things look like they are out of control. It doesn’t matter if it seems as though circumstances have the upper hand. You might not be able to see God’s Hand, but It is there. He is Working out His Plan. He is The God of Order. That is why He has a Plan. He doesn’t just do things for no reason. Every single thing has purpose in the fulfillment of His Plan. And when God Says He has a Plan for you, the devil and all his entourage cannot sabotage it. Just because it may feel like you’re being detained doesn’t mean that God is held up. Oh no! Quite to the contrary! It simply means that the fullness of His Perfect Timing is ticking. WAIT!!!! PRAY!!!! Position yourself! Glory be to The Most High God Now and Forever!!!🙌🏾🙏🏽

Glory be to The God Who made Heaven and earth. Him Who maintains His Creation is in control of every single aspect of my life. He NEVER loses a battle. No deed done is hidden from His Eyes. He causes what He wants to rise and He brings down what He wants to fall. His Ears Hear every word that is spoken in secret places. He Masterminds every detail and causes every event to work as He Purposes. No devilish plan that is concocted is beyond His Management. He knows every thought before it even enters the mind of the thinker. His Works are beyond man’s explanations. He Moves in secret places; where no eyes can determine His next move. He causes the strong to lose and the weak to win as He Wills. His Eyes NEVER close for sleep and is ALWAYS watching over His people. He is The Most High God. ALL others bow in His Majestic Presence. It’s all about what God can do rather than about measly little ole me! So I need to act like it. Sometimes we simply need to chill. God is God and I’m so so glad!! To say “He Got This” is most assuredly an understatement.🙏🏽

Nice video! Thank you for sharing! I have a small container garden on my balcony. I have such a terrible reaction to mosquitoes. I definitely feel your pain! I planted citronella, spearmint, sweet mint, peppermint, lemon grass in pots. I also planted a basil plant with my tomato plants, (Blue Spice Basil, Akoko Mesa Basil, Evivi Ntor Basil, Lime Basil, Lemon Basil, Mrs. Burns Lime Basi) and a pot of rosemary. Next season I am going to add some sage varieties. It smells wonderful and seems to keep most of the mosquitoes and flies at bay. For everyone reading this, please remember that I have a container garden. I would not advise anyone to plant any mint varieties directly in the ground. It can be invasive. I hope this helps someone!

I really appreciate you telling us what types of tomatoes you're harvesting. Good to know the sunset bumblebee tastes good. I'll be attempting to grow them again next year. Fungus gnates got to my seedlings this year 😢 Happy growing💚 🌻

Glad to see you back, and your harvest looks delicious! I feel your pain with mosquitos. I get other bites too...no-see-ums and possibly flys, I think (even through my clothes). I'm in 8a/b in eastern NC & they're brutal. All I know is I look like I've been through it with all of my daily welts!

P.S...try wearing one of the rechargeable fans around your neck to keep them off your face. I have found this works well for gnats & no bites on my face.

@ourfreedomsong3 ай бұрын
Where are you in zone 10b
@melodybricker42963 ай бұрын
Where did you get a mosquito suit from..I live in zone 5b in Illinois and I have been fighting mosquitoes for years here I have tried every natural thing recommended..they work for awhile then it is like the burgers around here get use to the smell and it no longer deters them..have resorted to long sleeves, long pants, gloves and a mosquito netting hat but not like the one in video... unfortunately they have even figured out they can bite through my long sleeve cotton shirt sometimes , the gloves I have to wear to do somethings in garden and yard because it isn't possible to do somethings with rubber gloves on...only pants I have found the haven't been able to bite through right now is light weight jeans..but it is so hot wearing all that clothing my work outside time gets shorten really fast so I don't get heat stroke or heat exhaustion..we have a lot of humidity all the time..they are terrible here even during the drought periods!..so definitely could use a mosquito suit or something..
@melodybricker42963 ай бұрын
Look around for standing water even a mile or two from where you are they will travel that far in search of a "blood meal".. unfortunately I have a neighbor who has a pool without a pump on it and I know that is where they are breeding at as that was only thing around that had water while we have been in drought..well that and he has old tires stacked so when we did get a little rain they would have gotten water in them..the breed at his place then come and hide out in my bushes and plants and then attack me..and my neighbors..if you can draw bats to your place they will take care of them too..but takes at least two years once you put up bat house for them to start using house it has to be about 20' in air also and it needs maintained..

If I had mosquitos like that dive bombing my garden and everyone in it I'd be SORELY TEMPTED to go for a NON organic solution. Not a good answer, I know. The harvest basket of multi colored and many sizes of tomatoes is LOVELY! And they will taste as good as they look! At least mosquitos don't eat tomatoes...
@ourfreedomsong3 ай бұрын
A friend JUST said pretty much the same thing! She said if she had the kind of mosquitoes we have over here she would definitely quit gardening all together! 😂 And thank you Annie! That is one positive thing, they don't eat tomatoes! Haha

I think I recommended this before. Apply Lavender oil with Alcohol or Lotion. Also my husband put down cedar chips and place them in my walk way and a handful in all my containers. I can honestly say it worked. I sincerely hope you try it for you and your family.
