Thanks for all of your work. I put the guitar away about 25 years ago and your videos have inspired me to get back at it. Great job.

First I choose the songs that I really love and want to learn. Then, I try them out and if they are too difficult for me at the time, I work on something easier. However, I keep trying to practice parts of the difficult songs because only by trying something a little hard can you improve your playing. That's about it. Thanks for the comment.

Great job. Your lessons are the best. Been playing guitar for about 15 months. Learning to play because of my love for the Beatles. Your videos are by far the best lessons to learn to play their songs. At 47 years old never too old to start!

it's very nice for someone to take their time to show others the secrets they discovered in the magical music of the boys'. Nicer still to see that same teacher go at it with a humbled point of view. you don't throw your two cents in and mesh the whole thing up... you play/teach it as simply and as honestly as you possibly can. not many can do that. peace, grace and thanks to you sir

Hi Berry. Thanks for the kind words. I have been learning and playing Beatles for a long time and always wanted to play them as close to what I heard on the record. It was always so frustrating to see chord books that were generally right but never quite sounded the same. What a thrill it is for me to work on these songs and play along with the album and feel that I sound as close to the boys as possible. I am so glad you appreciate the vids and glad you enjoyed. Best wishes to you too.

Loved the lesson. It was really helpful and you did a great job.Interesting how you can hear other songs within a song. What I mean with this one is that when I was playing C and Fmaj7,i I realised that those were the chords Paul used together in "Band On The Run".."well the rain exploded with a mighty ........" C and Fmaj7. Just an observation

Beatles for Sale ( released in the UK on the 4th December, 1964, I don't know what album this song appeared from in the states ) was certainly an interesting album! I really like the group's cover of Buddy Holly's 'Words of Love' on the album. I think the drumming and harmonies on that cover sound delicious! I can recommend The Beatles' song 'I'll Get You' ( the B-Side to 'She Loves You' 1963 ) as a great but lesser regarded tune, if you are unfamiliar with it, although obviously millions of people bought that single. Obviously The Beatles' albums from 'Rubber Soul' onwards went on to show even more musical majority, but I think all the way through the group's career there have been great tunes, 'I'll Follow The Sun' showing Paul McCartney's mastery for, put quite simply, being able to write a damn good tune!!

Yes. Beatles 65, as Glori has said. When I was younger I was completely unaware there were separate releases. I’m pretty sure my folks had a 45 release of this in addition to the Beatles 65 release.

You really do deserve a bit of praise for these great tutorials. So glad to have found you! I have my own versions of these great songs, worked out years ago by ear, but I could never get all the nuances that you seem to get. In some keys I can sing OK but they're rarely quite right for me. That's another frustration. Thanks a lot and all best wishes. Berry

Thanks for the comments and glad you like my lessons. Just to clarify, in the intro, I play C, then 3rd fret on the D string (Fnote) and 3rd fret on B string (D note) and open on the G, plucking the F and D notes at the same time then one pluck on the G string, then the F chord (same pluck pattern) then C and G chords. What you mention, Cadd9 is wrong if you pluck D note and E note (2nd fret of D string) together to the G note on open G. Play and compare the sounds. Cheers.

Hey really appreciate these. This is a bit challenging for me mostly the descending bass part. I can handle the C changes but then the quick D into G confuses me a bit. But mostly that damn intro part is what kills me, that new wacky chord is pritty rough to switch to. Thats the only way to improve I suppose is by learning new harder chords. Thanks again your teaching method is so perfect you're very thorough and I hope you know that its much appreciated!!!

jpm2u, also the "descending" chords aren't what they seem. They don't go in a strait line so to speak, going from C to B. Instead Paul goes from C to Em (or Em7) , then to Dm, then G, then finally resolves to he tonic-C. Again, just focus on the bass guitar. The D major in the verse is an accidental, which I believe is why Paul used the Dm here, and also to start and end the chorus.

Jpm2u, the second chord in the intro is a G like the "full" one you play during the verse (but Paul omits the high G in his picking). You can hear this by paying attention to the Bass guitar. So the intro is C /G/F/ C
