There is a song by Hannah Ellis called Officer Down. It's about her cousin Officer Daniel Ellis who sadly lost his life at the age of 33 back in 2015 during an armed robbery. His badge number was 457 and the song was written through his widow wife's eyes. It's a sad but beautiful song

From their 15th album, " Change the World"from 2020, Harem Scarem proves they still produce melodic rock with modern touches. Formed in Toronto 🇨🇦 in 1987, Harry Hess has a gruff vocal delivery, Peter Lesperance is just shredding the guitar and Darren Smith just a machine on the drums on this tune. They are very underrated band.... Hope you can react on their other songs too .. Here today gone tomorrow , Distant memory, Hard to love, all over again , aftershock , how long...they are a band that derserves to be at the top...

Sooooooo happy to see you doing more Harem Scarem Harri, great review! And yes it’s incredible how consistently great this band has been, from album 1 to album 15 (16 coming soon!). Signing with Warner Music Canada rather than Warner Brothers in the U.S. as grunge was incoming was probably the main reason they weren’t as big as they should have been. However singer Harry Hess runs his own studio and records vocals for other artists, drummer Darren Smith also sings lead vocals for Jake E Lee’s Red Dragon Cartel and Pete Lesperance is considered by many to be one of the best guitar players out there. He session records and tours many genres of music other than rock and is in high demand. Pete even appeared as the guitar player for Bubbles band in the new Trailer Park Boys film! I would recommend No Justice & Die Off Hard for older material, and Bite The Bullet or Change The World for something more current. Keep it coming! 😊

So now you've heard the first and last Harem Scarem songs that I've heard. Lol. Got a little bit in between that needs checkin. Agree 100% that it's a bit confusing why they aren't more famous.

It's pretty simple why they aren't more famous. For example, if you own Sony Music, are you promoting bands on your Sony America label or Sony Canada. Population of 390 million as opposed to 40 Million. Especially when 35 Million Canadians live within 100 miles of the U.S.
