I myself say “okie-dokey” on occasion. Usually I mean it a little sarcastically, when I have accepted that I need to start a task that is going to be difficult or tedious. It’s like an acknowledgment that the next period of time is not going to be very easy or pleasant. I think it’s a way of self-soothing, gritting my teeth, and starting to do The Thing.
