My mother is 51, and somehow managed to snag a new man only a year after being divorced. My father is the same story...well he hid a 'mistress' i guess on the dl, who is now his gf. Edit: Also he is 61

I turned 26 a couple days ago and at this point it’s just pathetic for me, to be struggling with the same issues I had when I was 18. I still live with my parents, have no friends and the ones I had don’t get back to me anymore and who could blame them? The last relationship I had was in the 8th grade, and the three girls I “dated” when I was younger are all married. I genuinely do feel like a failure. The only things keeping me alive are my parents and my sister and God and the fear of the afterlife. I can’t leave them behind to feel sad that I’m gone for the rest of their lives knowing I lost a brother many years ago due to a troubled life, but I feel so unmotivated. I feel like an outcast because I could care less what this world and people care about in regards to drugs and alcohol and concerts and celebrities or politics and culture, but that’s what everyone cares about and if you don’t care about any of those things, good luck finding your tribe. I don’t feel a push to change, honestly money or video games don’t mean anything to me. If I could give my $20k that I have saved in the bank for a better life, I would. I don’t even know why I save money, I can’t ever buy a house in my lifetime anyway.

Listen man at the end of the day you’re still young you don’t need to have it all figured out yet. Life is supposed to throw you challenges but these will make you stronger and allow you to appreciate the highs despite the lows. But most importantly you need to find your own happiness from within before seeking others. Your perseverance will allow you to succeed in finding your happiness:) Btw Thank you for sharing your story it’s helping me a lot. 🔥😤

I am 26 too. I have my first girlfriend just for 2 weeks now, and it took me this whole year to find a girl. I had a very bad social anxiety with throwing up in public places like at class and always feeling bad around strangers. I started taking some meds a year ago and it made me feel not less anxious but no sick stomach and crazy sympthoms anymore. I talked to many girls on the phone, who I found over snapchat random adds, learned to talk to them and had my first dates with 3 different girls. The 3rd girl was also introverted and has many same interests and views, she is my my girlfriend now and showed me everything, my first kisses, also with tongue and my first sex. We had a second time already and I am already less nervous and have a good stamina. Leaving the comfort zone was hard but necessary. I learned that you can achieve everything that you set your mind to

Im not best looking guy but at 25 yrs old i made a wierd cold approach and ended up with a girlfriend. She end up leaving me and going back to her country but that 3 months was the best 3 months of my life. Im 26 years old now and i still reminisce about my relationship. I urge you to do the opposite of what society tells you to do and stop being the nice guy. It may not work all the time but you will have stories to tell on your death bed.

That’s not that old, but I know when you’re 26 it feels like that. You’ve got plenty of time. Start now! I know people double your age in the same position. Don’t get too down on yourself. Build confidence. Hit the gym. Develop a passion. You can do it. And you’re a handsome dude you’ll have no problem getting a woman.

Professionally you're still totally young enough to not have it sorted. You should start dating though. Way too many young people are passive about dating and it leaves them with regrets and no experience for when they want to find someone to settle down with.
