Just a side note for the young kids thinking about this career: sometimes travel nurses get stuck with undesirable positions and even trouble patients that the "regular" nurses on the floor do not want to deal with at even a regular hospital. In our state the nursing profession has a 50-75% burnout rate (based on nurses who DO NOT renew their license). Honestly with most medical careers, do it because you want to help others, not for the money.

Most prisons and jails are critically understaffed, particularly in their medical departments. The guy in the video can work an endless amount of overtime. He writes his own pay check.

I'm a nurse and I worked at a prison in Phoenix, and I WILL NEVER work in a prison again. Every day we got threats, I've had inmates pull a shank on me twice, I've had inmates kick and hit me. Those guys cried like little kids about everything, they would upset about something and swallow batteries, pencils and whatever they could get their hands on. Never again

Hey this Kev, I typically make ~$2,720 a week for 40 hours, my pay can fluatate with how many hours I work so it’s not always consistent. Also, Some of that $9k that I put in savings for June was already laying around that I decided to consolidate into savings.

I don't think it will succeed because in a bad economy, with inlation & job loss, people would not want to spend $ for non-essential stuff. from my own experience seek advice from a financial counselor if you need help with short-term investing. They have significantly greater knowledge and expertise in this sector.

Many minimize the importance of advisors until their feelings get in the way. After a protracted divorce a few summers ago, I needed a major boost to remain afloat with my firm. I looked for licensed advisors and found the best qualified one. Despite inflation, she assisted me in increasing my reserve from $55k to $350k. You too can take a step.

I feel terrible for our country; many families are forced to forsake even a moderate level of living due to daily increases in inflation and the recession, and low-income people are fighting to make ends meet. She's my F.A., Lois Jean Frueh Indeed, there are those who are experts in their domain. For the past five years or more, I have been with her and her returns have been nothing short of remarkable. I've already tried a few others.

So title says he makes 112k a year (54$ an hour). He said he makes 42$ an hour (87k a year). His budget has him making almost 150k a year (12.5k a month). The contradicting information these videos alway have make it hard to believe anything.

I have a few nurses who did travel and did the tax free on their paychecks but after all was done they still had to pay Uncle Sam! Some of them owe a lot to Uncle Sam so be careful.

Those were greedy nurses who knew better because they chose to withhold their taxes. All nurses have to complete a 1099 form in the beginning either to take out or hold taxes. Smart travel nurses take out their taxes to avoid this.

That's average in California, remember it's a 6 month contract, big difference if he is a permanent status and stable. My sister in law was a RN for over 40 years in SF and retired recently from CMPC.

It's possible if he's still over eating. I'm 250 pounds (50 pounds overweight) and I'm in the gym lifting and doing cardio 3-5 times a week. I over eat so I'm still over weight.
