The only roguelike I played a lot is one step from eden and it's amazing and I love it, in big part because I love the artstyle, and the frantic gameplay can be so fun, but at the same time there are so many good roguelikes out there ahhhhh (I realized I also played into the breach a lot and yeah I have a thing for indie games that came out in 2018)

I still remember the first time I played Binding of Issac all those years ago. Rogue likes have come so far and span so many genres. You have Issac-like games like Hades and both Risk of Rain 1 and 2, card battles like Slay the Spire, long-winded games like Darkest Dungeon 1, and even some really cool narrative driven games that have a roguelike system like I Was a Teenage Exo Colonist or Growing Up. It's such an accessible genre now. Great video!
