You know, i am very skeptical about this whole thing. I mean, some while ago Scrat concluded his whole journey by simply just eating his acorn. And that felt like a perfect send off for the franchise. How will they top that?

I’m also abit skeptical about Ice Age 6, the only way I can see it working is if they brought back the humans, maybe reintroduce the baby character and have him be all grown up maybe he could even be the leader of his own tribe and have a family of his own, you know actually make it feel like a sequel to the first movie. But to be honest I really wouldn’t be surprised if it just had another end of the world type of plot, the previous films have done it so I’m kind of expecting this one might too.

Love the first 3, the third one the most because of the Dinosaurs, Buck, and how it wrapped up Manny's arc by giving him the family he lost. But yeah, 4 and 5 left me scarred as you so appropriately put it. I think the only direction to go at this point is meeting the baby all grown up. Don't know how exactly that would work as the humans and animals don't seem to understand each other, but hopefully they can think of a creative way to pull it off. Cautiously optimistic but I'll watch it regardless as this is a series I grew up with and have a large fondness for despite the last two films.

Disney have also the rights of Planet of the Apes and Alien and this year new movies came out reciving positive reviews from the audience and critics. I feel the reason might be creative freedom and Disney never fully interfere on the movie's production unlike what happen with Star Wars. If those franchise could go on even under Disney umbrella i feel Ice Age can do the same.

I’m excited and nervous. Hopefully we get to see Scrat. He’s the pinnacle of Ice Age. Hopefully we get to see Pinky again too as a grown up. We were originally gonna get another Star Wars, but nice to know they’ve changed plants and got the original cast back together again!

i think it would be hilarious if while the animals were going on these goofy hijink adventures. The flood The dinosaurs The drift And the meteor showers. To the humans all these things were horrific tragic events where people drowned, were eaten, fell into the center of the earth or were sacrificed to some ritual god signified by the falling meteors. Imagine if THATS how humans came back?

I was just rewatching all the Ice Age movies and when I got to Adventures of Buck Wild I was hugely disappointed that Shira was just missing with zero explanation. Not to mention the crap animation, missing Scrat and voice actors being changed due to "budget". I mean come on if you can't incorporate the most important elements of a franchise don't keep going?

I'm cautiously optimistic, I'm a huge Ice Age fan. I've loved all the films(I didn't hate Collision Course, it was meh) , having Disney at the helm of it is extremely concerning, and what the plot itself will be is another question. Perhaps if they bring back Roshan from the first film and have him reunite with Manny, Sid and Diego would be good and serve as a good sendoff for the franchise. But this is Disney we're talking about, so there's also a chance it could be a disaster, we'll have to see and wait, let's give it one last shot.

This is a mix idea but what about being back the kid as a adult (considering peaches age is like much of elephant) but he’s also with someone be a friend or lover from the same tribe that hunted manny old family. That be a dynamic would bring back manny protectiveness but makes sense for he experiencing trauma from his past. I would like to add a wolf to cast for he be the bridge between animal crew and the humans. He be one that he could understand humans better and translate for the animals. Plus we need wolves to be back, they were only in one movie.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this i grow up with the ice age series as each film released its going to be interesting what the premise of this one will be my hopes of what I would love to see from it is dial back the number of characters specifically focus more on the original core trio manny Sid and Diego on a grand adventure bring back the dramatic danger and emotional Tone from the first film while still having the signature humour of the series here and there have the adventure be something unique from previous films probably dont do another major disaster plotline this time around instead have the Stakes be more personal character driven with natural environmental obstacles the herd has to get through reintroduce humans back into the franchise that's basically it

I love the ice age movies till the 3rd one and i think the 4th and 5th one were to the very least okay. But that buck wild spinoff that wasnt even about buck honestly took away all my hope for the future of this franchise. I thought it was terrible. Not only that, i feel like this franchise shouldnt be continued at all anymore. It became cash cow and that is the worst thing that can happen to a franchise. But this franchise is apart from that over now, it doesnt have any fuel anymore. The original makers are not involved anymore. I personally think the first 4 movies are great. Yes the sequels had some wacky ideas but I think there was still a lot of heart in the quadrilogy. But Collision Course had the most wacky plot of all and was overall very mediocre. Then the Buck Wild spin-off was terrible so I am cautiously optimisic for the sequel. Having the human kid as an adult seens like the only good way to continue the franchise. The franchise should have stopped at 4 in my opinion but after Collision Course and Buck Wild, I want a proper conclusion to the franchise.

Now hear me out, the ONLY way this can work is if it focuses on Scrat, because the main gang's stories have come to a close. There's nothing else to do with them, and is past even beyond digging up their graves. Scrat's however, did not. He just ate the nut that was holding him back, so now he can go on to live his life. Find a girlfriend. Have kids. That's what Blue Sky DIDN'T show, and could maybe become a reality. PS I've heard about the thing where the main 3 reunite with the human, but a few problems. One, the hate on Ice Age baby is so unprecedented. Two, it would be better as a short film, there's no real point in dragging it into a movie. And 3, major plot holes. One could assume the humans died out off-camera, but having them come back with no explanation feels very hollow.

The Ice Age movies aren't all winners with all the "Woody Allenisms" in their comedy and stories. But they have some of the coolest and most well-thought out villains when they want to! If Ice age 2 hadn't practiced looming presence villainy with that Megalodon and Pleasiosaur with no lines, Captain Gut and his crew wouldn't have come out half as dynamic or memorable in Ice Age 4! Ice Age 6 can only really fail if they can't come up with anything else for Manny to do IMO.
