While the scrat shorts were released by disney, they were animated by blue sky before the shutdown. So yeah, unless something unexpected happens, Scrat is out of the franchise.

I want to know where the heck all the humans went after the first movie. I'd at least like them to reference the first movie. Remember their last words to the baby? "we'll never forget about you"... Looks like they did. I'd have at least liked to see some references to the kid since he was such a big part of the boys meeting and becoming a herd. Even if it was just incorporating that necklace the dad gave Manny in his own kid's nursery (I always though it would have been so cute if he used it in her mobile)

Disney’s slate of upcoming movies is almost nothing but sequels, remakes and new installments in existing franchises. Incredibles 3, Frozen 3, Zootopia 2, Captain America, Fantastic Four, an upcoming Star Wars movie, Lilo & Stich remake, Snow White remake, and a Moana remake. All these IPs they own are killing their creativity why do anything new when you can just keep milking the MCU and Star Wars, remaking past classics and pumping out sequels to films that people are familiar with.

Couple that with the DC movies and it’s no wonder Superhero movies have been on somewhat of a downward spiral recently. Post endgame nearly half of the MCU films released have been box office failures and DC…well they’ve never been consistent with their box office numbers. I wish Disney would take a long break from marvel films but I know that won’t happen. I honestly think from a creative standpoint Disney would’ve been better off if they had never brought Marvel, Star Wars, or Fox.

The first 3 movies were good, and I stand by that. The fourth one had a concept that made sense (continental drift was a major part of Earth's history, like the Ice Age, global warming and the dinosaurs were), but the whole pirate thing was just dumb. I didn't see the 5th one because I wasn't even sure what it was actually about (still don't know what it's about) but I hear it was bad and I don't doubt that. I'll probably see the 6th one if it gets back on track with having interesting concepts, but I doubt it will be an actually good movie.

Here's an idea for this sixth movie: Have it about the baby from Ice age 1 but he's an adult. His tribe is attacked by another one and capture his family. The hunter meet Manny and his friends; doesn't recognize them at first. They fight a bit, he recognize Manny then the animals helped him to rescue his family. Maybe they manage to saved his wife and kid but not him? Before he dies, the hunter thanked them. I would love to see that 🙂

I binge-watched all the movies (since I got them super long ago on DVD) and I can actually remember watching Collision Course, and being legitimately a little relieved it ended on that. And this is coming from someone who watched the original trilogy on repeat when I was five. I'm a little peeved that Disney won't just let the franchise be laid to rest, and the only thing I can think of is that I vaguely hope it's not going to be worse and more watered-down, like what The Land Before Time turned out to be. If the 6th one brings back the humans & have the baby reunite with them as an adult it would make me shed a tear as well as if they give Manny's backstory in a more explained way as in a flashback or some kind but overall i kind of think it should stay at 5 movies but if they still do it I'll watch it & if it's bad I'll pretend it doesn't exist lol
