Good luck man, I’m in a similar position as you. I have everything by Tezuka minus Phoenix and Black Jack. Currently collecting Phoenix but Black Jack is definitely up next. Hardest part is definitely going to be to find profit, as selling a book for its full market value takes so much time and margins are not really that great for manga. Definitely be on the looks out as volume 15 is by the most expensive volume.

Yeah I’m gonna have to get EXTREMELY lucky on vol 15 since I’m basically capped at $50 a book. As for finding profit, it’s definitely been a lot harder in recent years to find good flips, but I’m confident I can find a way! 🙌

inb4 you get dislike bombed bc the manga community gets super salty about ppl flipping manga. I think this plan would have worked 2-4 years ago but good luck doing it today. the aftermarket is straight up dead. People don't want to buy unless you're volumes are less than $5 for retail stuff, and OOP stuff has seen a huge hit in demand as well. You can be sitting on a set that everyone would have jumped on years ago and keep lowering it in price on r/mangaswap and only see buyers when it gets to a ridiculously low price that you can't believe you're selling a set of gantz singles complete for

$800 is actually not that bad for 17 volumes of a very rare out of print manga. I payed over $150 for vol 2 & 3 of Hybrid Heart (an ecchi manga) hahahaha.

Yeah I couldn't believe those went up that much. I had all 4 volumens and I almost considered them semi-disposable. Now I'm like, any ecchi-type book needs to be treated like potential money.
