Dude, the diy vids were a huge inspiration in building my backyard ramp. Much appreciated. Me and my son watched and rewatched until we had the confidence to hit the home Depot.

Whoever built that should make a second channel with the same DIY type content but blur their face. Graffiti style documenting.

@aj_12x2317 сағат бұрын
Hey, attorney here (but not your attorney and this is not legal advice). Idk if you plan on trying to disassemble the jersey barrier ramp but, if so, I would personally just leave it alone. Even if you had been the one to build it, the property still technically belongs to the city or whoever else. Further changes to it - even if done for the purpose of restoring the barrier to its original condition - could be viewed as additional destruction of someone else's property. Whoever the barrier belongs to almost certainly has the means to remove the material that was added, if that's what they want to do. Just let them do it. If its the city, that will cost less than prosecuting you for trying to fix what was done, so you're doing them a favor anyway by leaving the existing "damage" intact.
@aj_12x2317 сағат бұрын
For what its worth, I'm sorry you're dealing with this. God forbid teenagers spend their time being active outdoors and figuring out creative ways to interact with the environment around them. You'd think the things we make "illegal" would also be behaviors that are wrong or materially harmful, but that's often not the case.

Fuck that shit, skating should be in the public eye, they build skateparks to keep skaters isolated in one location, skateparks are cool and all but there is so much things out there that can be skated and should be skated
@rvaguitars14 сағат бұрын
Well they keep letting citizens councils full of Karen’s tear down skateparks to replace them with pickleball courts.

Do what you gotta do to stay safe :)! The point of a secret spot is to keep is secret... if anything, make a channel " FINDING" new spots that "you could or could not have" made... If you want a personal spot, keep it personal... Much appreciated for your work even though I've never visited!! Keep the spirit alive!!!

@benvsreality3 сағат бұрын
I'm pretty sure those spots were made by this dude named Tacitus Kilgore. Last i heard, he moved to Tahiti.
@soulkobk2 сағат бұрын
i mean... building a diy spot at the end of a quiet residential street is kinda asking for negative attention from those that live there, so no wonder there is 'heat'. when the word gets around to other skaters that find/pin/share the spot, it brings an influx of cars/people/skaters (strangers to the area) where there normally wouldn't be. any normal person would be concerned for sure (noise, pollution, damage, risk of break-ins/theft, etc). what would happen if you had some random skater(s) build a skate spot outside your own place (corner block yeh?) and have it like the above scenario. ik your anxiety would kick in big time... therefore you gotta think before you do imo. really have to pick and choose where your diy spots are tbh... like the large water drain... decent spot, out of the way, hidden, quiet, and on state land. keep it clean and im sure it will stay (for a while at least, unless it greatly obstructs the water flow).

Not free to “vandalize property.” A lot of people out there willing to call in that stuff to the police because they want their neighborhood to stay boring. Still plenty of middle-aged and up people who view skating as rebel/hoodlum activity and don’t like it. This is all just part of the game though and I think Zack knows that. I assume that is part of the fun in building these spots.
