Your devotional really helped me realize what I've been feeling these days... I feel like I'm constantly looking for security and reliance on others more than ever. It 's easy when your loved ones are around you all the time so I forget to rely and seek comfort from God. Thank you so much for the reminder! Hope everyone has an amazing and blessed day! :)

I love what you said about not putting our hope and faith in people, but in Jesus. These past few months of having to move home because of the pandemic (I live in Paraguay, South America) were really really though and hard to endure because I had put my plans and Uni years above God. I felt so out of control and was just so unhappy at home even though my family is such a loving family who also follow Jesus. Yesterday I came back from a visit of the city i study in and I was so happy the ten days I spent there and back at home I wasn’t sad anymore because I got used to being here but I just keep putting my joy and friends and Degree over God and I have to stop that. Thank you for talking about this. God bless you 🤍

Hi Kristin! I want you to know that your words were so comforting to me in this moment. A year ago I was diagnosed with several chronic illnesses that cause me to be in daily pain and was recently hospitalized from complications. I’ve been so impressed with your vulnerability since the accident and feel comforted and seen by your words and understanding. Praying that you and Marcus reach a full recovery so soon and doctor appointments go back to just those pesky annual physicals!

I feel you when you say it’s tiring to go to the hospital bc I was the ER late last night but I think it’s important to also be thankful we have access to health care. A lot of people have medical complications but don’t have access to healthcare or can’t afford it. I was thinking about that last night and I was just thankful, it’s good to turn obstacles into blessing💖 lots of love and prayers for recovery Kristin!

I've never related to something so much! Thank you so much for sharing, Kristin. It's a breath of fresh air to see someone openly talk about their health journey - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have multiple chronic illnesses - including hashimoto's hypothyroidism, new persistent daily headache (migraines 24/7 for 7 years now), herniated discs, sleep apnea, and more that's required me to have long stays at hospitals and procedures. Doctor's offices have become a second home. Stay strong ❤️ it gets easier

Also, thank you for suggesting the devotional you're reading. I bought it 4 months ago and put a bookmark on the exact same page you were talking about here. Kristin, after having a freak fall in Joshua Tree this week and fracturing my patella which led to emergency surgery, you and Marcus have been on my mind so much. I keep thinking of how you put your trust in Jesus and use you two as an example. This has ruined so many plans for me (on top of covid postponing my wedding, losing my job and having low income, my family being across the US like you), but I keep reminding myself Gods plan is bigger. i know how you feel Kristin about the exhaustion of going to the doctors all the time. For about two years I was constantly going to the doctors for two different ongoing problems and at one point I had appointments twice a week for like 4 months. It is definitely mentally and physically draining. It's real that patients actually do need to *focus* on getting better because getting your health back to normal does take up a lot of our attention. You're not alone, and it will definitely get better. Just keep hanging in there. You're doing great

I've had my share of chronic diseases since I was 4, and although hospital trips, steroid treatments, specialists appointments, and having to explore combinations of medicines have been a near constant in my life, it really all taught me to be health conscious and responsible from really early on. And also, having near death experiences in my childhood really made me grow up fast, like being a mini adult. I hate it, and sometimes I let the idea that I wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for western medicine get to my head, but in a way it has all shaped a lot of who I am for positive reasons, so I'm ultimately grateful. I hope you're complications are gone soon and that you can go back to having full confidence in the way your body works:)
