I would be very worried that Jesus will say to you “I never knew you” when this short life ends. I hope she does know Him is willing to let Him opens her eyes to to a course correction. Jesus says to pick up your cross and follow Him - this means you pick up that horrible family life you had and the sins you struggle with and try to do what He says is good. You follow Him and not the ways of this troubled world. So yes that path is harder sometimes, but you have joy that can only come from God. The world is chasing happiness and money on a dark playground. Good for this other woman. My mom has been sober for 24 years. I'm on the road of recovery to learn how to forgive and let bitterness go. They also have a steps program. It has helped me learn so much about God! It's also great to build relationships with other sisters. I've been getting to know God and what he has a plan for me. I totally respect that. I had an extremely dysfunctional childhood - 9/10 on the ACE test. Verbally, physically, sexually abused even on the work front working manual labor before getting my tech job.
