The timing of this vlog couldn't have come at a better time. I always have a hard time dealing with the travel blues and what you said about viewing the trip as a completed memory is something I never thought about before. Thanks, Christianne!

I went on a 3 week vacation abroad and I came back 2 days ago and I have been suffering so much since. I am constantly crying and feeling so sad that I came back and that the fun is over. All the touristy activities and so on. I keep watching videos on how to get over this but I feel like it is easier said than done. I am sure other people can relate to me right now. When you have been waiting for so long to do this trip and then all of a sudden it came to an end and you realised it, it hits you really really hard.

The part of thinking about what you want to change as a result of what you learned is huge. It makes you feel like you are sort of integrating the travels into your life and your person.

Travel blues are killer, especially after backpacking. I always find the first couple of days at home are really nice when you see family, eat some food you've been missing etc then it hits super hard.

Thank you for this video. I really needed it. I've been deep in the travel blues after returning from a 4-month backpacking trip to the UK in December. Now, I've decided my next trip will be to Australia and New Zealand next year. So, now I finally have something to plan and look forward to. Your video helped me feel reassured that I'm not alone in feeling this way.

Came back from a month in the Philippines on 27 April (a month ago yesterday). I was back at work 2 days later. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing, all I know is I'd still rather be out there but it's ok because every day here is a day closer to going back out there again. It also nice to get back in your own bed, see friends and family again. Before I went I changed my bedding and laid out a towel, tracksuit trousers & my favourite T shirt. I also made sure that there was semi decent ready meal in the freezer (as my Wife was out there for another 15 days with her Mum), tooth paste, shower gel etc so after unpacking chuck the food in the microwave, have a shower then food and crash out in a lovely fresh bed. Happy days.

For me, it was less about the specific locations. Sure they were beautiful, but what I really miss are the friends I made along the way while hostel hopping. We are all off in different directions now and I hope to meet them again. But there's no guarantee and there's not even a guarantee that we'll be the same ppl in the future and that we would still want to meet which is very sad.

I suffered quite badly from travel blues The last time I came home . I had no idea what was wrong lol. One other thing, I’m a skin care fanatic . Physical exfoliants are not good for your skin. You would benefit more from a chemical one such as The Peeling Solution from The Ordinary or Revolution in Superdrug and Boots used once a week . Just a thought. Your pretty face doesn’t want lots of micro tears from those scratchy beads 😂. Please feel free to tell me to shut it lol 😂

Hey! I also wear contact lenses. PureVision2 is the name of them. They are monthly lenses which you don't need to take out, you can sleep and shower in them. But I'm not sure how they work in pool/sea. You might have to do some research. Just make sure you have moisturising eye drops.

10 pants?????? How? Why? I am confused! 😂 I travel with 3 - jeans, leggins and flowy pants and my bag is heavy enough. Been away for 7 months. What happened with you trying to be a minimalist? The small backpack just didn't do the job? All of us need something else indeed but I feel there is nothing worse in a hostel room and multiple massive bags and no space to walk around. Obviously with the exception of people who travel with camping gear, they need the extra space.
@BackpackingBananas2 жыл бұрын
Im not sure where you’re from but in England, we call thongs/underwear ‘pants’. They’re tiny 😂 whereas you guys call jeans/leggings pants. We call them bottoms lol
