How do the blux baits compare to gancraft? I'm just getting into micro swimbaits like the era baits and the new ones from Eurotackle.
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
More variability in quality and performance for sure. I haven't had any that just aren't usable. But, I did have one day last fall where the Blux Wouldn't get bit, but the Gan Craft did. So it kind of feels like the 80/20 rule. 80% of the performance for 20% of the cost. But sometimes, that extra quality might make the difference. Still, I throw the Blux anywhere; they are cheaper than most of my inline spinners. If I lose them, oh well. The Gan Craft are a little more dear. Plus the Blux are almost always in stock. Gan Craft sometimes I gotta shop around to find the color i want.
@doinitwithjl54212 ай бұрын
@AaronHuntFishing Sounds good. I wonder if a little tuning would squeeze better performance from them? Also, if you haven't tried the Eurotackle nage, the action looks great though I haven't fished with it yet. Just a couple test casts in the pool.

@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
I'd say if you're struggling, just start fishing a ned Rig every time out until your figure it out. Then, FIsh the ned and maybe a paddletail swiumbait. Part of why I do those lure challenges sometimes is to force myself to lure a new technique. I probably need to do a "Top 5 Bass Lures" video - because I really tjink if I just fished the same 5 lures, overall I'd cat ch more fish, year round. Ned Rig, Jig, paddletail Swimbait, Buzzbait, and spinnerbait. Some folks might argue grankbait vs paddletail, and if you fish more lakes/ponds or deeper water, I'd agree.

Flowing water is something you sure don’t see in north central Texas at this time of year. Our streams flow sometimes in spring. We’re still in the 90s and I’m very close to Oklahoma. Sure doesn’t seem like October. I’ve been watering all my trees all day in this drought. I’m in my 60s and October used to be a lot cooler when I was a kid. Lived in this same area my entire life.
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
And this was LOW water for us. That area has had dorught conditions the last 2 years; our small streams are dried up.

Had my first taste of Fall fishing today myself. Finally a day with morning temps below 70 degrees. The fish seemed a bit more aggressive as well. It was nice to finally catch more than 2 fish in 4 hours, and I'm mostly ultra lite fishing for panfish! On a different note, what do you use to film that makes it look like the camera is floating in the air. I'm pretty sure you're the only one I've ever seen that uses that method. Very interesting. I used to think you had a drone following you around until I saw the shadow of the stick mount. The mount that's not really there... or is it? Blessings!
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
Yeah, the mount is there! It's the Insta360 X3 (new version is the X4). It's the camera Ed and I were talking about at the beginning. Like and "action cam", it's got it's plusses and minuses, but I do like the 3rd person POV. Congrats on the good fall bite. Our mornings have been down near 40. Hopefully I'll get on a few myself today.

That's debatable. Probably varivas is consistently high quality. I've been using Sunline the last year, and I really like the performance, but they don't offer pink (my favorite color). Not sure what I'm running next year... maybe Suffix 832. Sunline and Suffix both test int he top 5 for abrasion and knot strength.
