Nice video Aaron! I haven't tried the Kyrios yet but I'm going to soon! We've found using EWG weedless Ned heads help us from hanging so much in the current, I use the weedless standup head and I pour some round heads as well. I might lose one or 2 because of the skin hooked barb but not many. Just something you might want to try. Also, that creek or small river looks so much like one we have near me, it has smallmouth like you were catching and loaded with Rock Bass by the hundreds. We float it a couple times a year with light tackle and have a blast!

I was using EWG's last year. Didn;t love the ones I had. But need to find some sort of offset ned again for sure.

One of my favorite ponds this summer was very shallow water level, but after Storm Debbie came through, it rose a good 4 - 6 feet which is pretty crazy considering it was overnight. The rapid shift of water composition leads me to believe all the big bass died, and all that's left are the dinks. I fish this pond every day and I get disappointed every trip. All that works is BFS. it was a hard switch from my typical power baits but I learned to enjoy casting these tiny lures.

Sorry to hear about the pond - maybe the big ones are still just off and they'll pick up in Spetember as the fall feeding starts.

@@AaronHuntFishing Yeah nevermind what I said, yesterday morning I was fishing the jig and that huge one bit, my knot broke off though lol. I saw him still fighting after the fact and he jumped, good ol 5 - 6 pounder is still alive and kicking.

Nice video as always, thanks for posting. I'm curious as to what State you are fishing in, nothing specific just a general idea if possible?

I read specs. 1/8 to1/2oz.... have you tried down to 1/16oz? I've got alot of eurotackle 1/16oz baits and then I'm a ned rig nerd. Super intrested at that price but it's gotta be able to go lower than 1/8. Had a great looking bend on those fish and that white is pretty awesome would match everything. Awesome video!

Haven't done that yet - just got it in and took the first trip out for this video. I'll try to do that this month.

Hey Aaron, new to the channel after jumping head first down the BFS rabbit hole. I've got a Cashion 7 foot light, wondering which of the Kistler Hunt series would compliment it best? Original thought was the 3x, and figured no one better to ask than the dude the rod is named after.
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
Probably the 2X, uless you need to get below 5 grams, then the 3X. The Chasion should be a good bit stiffer and a lot faster. Apologies for the delay - missed the comment... plus just recovering from a pC crash. :P

Can u do a review on the handing star blade rod
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
Probably won't any time soon. It's likely a good rod though - handing makes good quality for the price.

have you try the karashi for trout fishing? it actually a very good bait for trout fishing

A light version would be good, not that many light fast ootions out there
@AaronHuntFishing4 ай бұрын
I'm not sure what the plan is so far with these, but I was very happy with the initial trip. Three versions so far, with medium being the lightest. I'm sure it's the three most common power rods Kistler sells.

I dont see this as power bfs this is actual bfs lol imo. This is things nornally thrown in spinning gear for bass which is what bfs is. The other light stuff is ultra light fishing which is meant to catch mostly panfish not bass even though you will catch bass lol. People have really blurred the lines between bfs and ultra light fishing since bfs hit the US market 😂.
@AaronHuntFishing2 ай бұрын
Agreed. The reel is what makes it BFS. But so many guys will tell people things like "anything over 7 grams is not BFS." I was so confused when i started a few years ago - I'd get BFS stuff from Japan, and guys in US Facebook groups are saying "that's not BFS.". I'm like "WTF?" So I use that "Power" term when I'm throwing the 3/8 oz range stuff. Appreciate the comment.
