What a Gorgeous Manicure! Excellent Solution to doing dominant hand! I also thought of the SAME solution. My lovely 18year old daughter has been doing my dominant hand for the past 4 months when I realized the same solution. My daughter is a talented artist (not just saying it cause I'm her Mom, she's won numerous 1st place awards in art contests that her teacher submitted, since my daughter is such a perfectionist + very critical of her artwork).

Does anyone else have little cuticle’s where they really aren’t in the way and never dry, so you never have to cut or clean them? I always see people removing them and mine never look like theirs. Is that just me or anyone else like that?
@Tazazak6 ай бұрын
Same. As soon as I do the things people say to do to make them better or “maintain” them, that’s the only time I have issues with them. But if I leave them alone I literally never have to think about them.
@Miss.8316 ай бұрын
@@Tazazak Exactly. That’s how I am girl. Well I’ve never really done anything to them but like cuticle oil after I do my nails, but if I leave them alone they’re fine. Like they aren’t in the way and they seem to almost be like flush with my nail and finger that I don’t clip them or push them back. And I do my own nails at home for years now and never have a problem with lifting or anything. Not to make people feel like they don’t have amazing cuticles or anything lol but I always wondered if mine were weird or if others had that same problem as me cuz I feel like it’d make it worse if I did that to mine since they are I guess like little and not in the way.

It's better to leave your cuticles alone as much as possible (other than pushing them back of course). This trend of Russian manicures has people doing awful damage to their cuticles.
@jennifertempest3976 ай бұрын
I know what you mean. All I do is use the pusher and push my cuticles back. Even after that though, there's not much there, so I just do the nails and oil the cuticles after.

does the cuticle prep burn like an open cut or no? whats the limit there. is there blood?
@dais7kee6 ай бұрын
No
@sylvfallen6 ай бұрын
There should not be blood. Some people who have sensitive skin will feel it a bit more, if it’s burning the file might have heated up/be too high of speed or they are pushing too far. For my own cuticle work it never hurts.
@demarcus10206 ай бұрын
shouldn't be any blood, cuticle work is just exfoliating the dead skin off the nail bed, and potentially trimming any attached still to the rest of the living skin (I don't remember the exact terms and names for all the different parts, so I'm trying to simplify it) chances are some folk don't even *need* trimming done, just the initial lifting and stuff, it should *never* be painful though
@josefacaceres63796 ай бұрын
Hi, I am from Chile so English isn't my first language, I'm sorry if there's any grammatical mistake😔😔 But now I am doing a professional nail artist course and from what I have learned cuticle work never should hurt or make your hands bleed!! It's true that some people have more sensitive skin than others, but our job is to cause as little pain as possible and NEVER make our client bleed, because the part of the cuticle that we cut are dead cells, so if you go to a manicurist and they end up making your hands bleed and they tell you "that's okay" or if" that's normal" then they aren't a professional manicurist/nail artist. We, as nail artists/manicurists, must be careful to not cause injuries (and if we end up making them) we must sterilize our tools to prevent blood-borne diseases, just like tattoo artists do. I hope that this information helps you!

Only thing that surprised me was that she got the dominant hand done first, only to have to later do the other hand. I'd be worried to mess up the new set. I also think it would be better to do the non dominant hand first exactly how you want, then have the nail tech match them when they do your dominant hand.
@OneDoodlingBug6 ай бұрын
@@Katz_Pajamas I think it's better to let the less experienced person go first so the more experienced person can more closely replicate the design. Even when I do my own I do my dominant hand first that way i dont do something too intricate while using my right hand that my left hand can't do.

It looks like builder gel to me. The way she's applying it, but making sure not to lift the brush, is exactly how you apply builder gels. If you lift the brush off the product while applying, it leaves bubbles behind. So I'm gonna say my guess is definitely builder gel of some kind/brand.
@BlissfulEssential6 ай бұрын
@@jennifertempest397 thank you so much! I do poly gel on my nails but they always end up lifting. I wanna find something as strong as acrylic but not as heavy on the nail. I’m hoping rubber base is a good option or maybe builder gel.
