“Cosplayers don’t look too closely” I mean, thats how everyone I know does cosplay: making stuff that looks absolutely mind-blowing but on the inside its all duct tape, hot glue, and random items they found at the dollar store. Also safety pins. Lots of safety pins.

Consider a glue other than Hot Glue please, as someone who's done armor cosplays Hot glue will not hold up well over time! Rubber Cement is a pretty great alternative option

As just your average crafter, I agree! Any situation in which moisture can generate is a no-no for hit glue. It'll stay in one piece, but it'll unstick from anything else!

Barge cement. Rigid to soft and soft to soft, cant beat barge. Rigid to rigid, maybe epoxy or CA glue depending on expected load.

I completely agree! Rubber cement works much better.. but hot glue will hold if you don't plan on doing anything crazy... ok maybe get some rubber cement...

@@theo.haas.98 Barge All-purpose Cement is non-latex as far as I can tell from the MSDS. It is not rubber cement, it is far stronger. Look up barge cement foam tutorials for more info.

I have a feeling it's because filming stuff in stores is associated with people doing things that bother their customers. But if that's the case, I don't think filming in general should be banned, they should just not allow weirdos who like harassing people for "pranks" and "funny videos" instead.

Here is what I like about your channel- you have fun. Fun isn't just for children. Fun is for everyone. We lose sight of that as we get older and feel like we have to focus of responsibility, then we feel bad about doing things we take pleasure in. You and your channel go directly against that. You take what sounds fun, and dive hard into exploring it, with wonder and enthusiasm.

Honestly it's amazing to see the resourcefulness and creativity as this comes together! Someday I'd like to see jazz maybe do a second channel of shorts and videos of cosplay and conventions...but it's great to see how it's going and I doubt it will become a thing. Honestly if you want a great adhesive that works on just about anything E6000 is a great one! I have used it on some stuff personally and see it reccomended by both fursuit makers and cosplayers a lot

I legit felt a little sad each time you referred to this and yourself as stupid or silly or childish - though you can't possibly really mean it, right? This stuff is awesome, and you should not feel silly for loving it at all! So, heck yeah, this is my vote that you keep going! I can picture some ways for you to add a chest and back plate to this, but I'd love to see your solution. You enthusiasm is excellent, and it's always fun to watch you flex your skills; but banish those negative thoughts - even if you don't mean them, let's normalize being excited to geek out!

I'm a cosplayer and while this was posted I was actually at a con in Anaheim called WonderCon. Just want to let you know that there's other ways to make props and costumes. I personally do a lot of sewing, or something I think you would enjoy is foamwork. You can get EVA foam and make it into armor and/or props. I personally find it challenging and rewarding. You can even get this clay that dries into the same texture as EVA foam. There's also some other materials you can use, but foam is one of the most common within the cosplay community.
