Tunédex Side Notes #63: The team and I were walking through a town where a festival for a yellow mouse was going on. Absol was very cautious around the crowd, but did not pay attention to her. She refused to leave my side while we were in the town which I had no issues with. Gardevoir stayed close so Absol would feel more at ease. Lucario and Ceruledge immediately found a wrestling ring where they were having single and doubles wrestling matches. I thought it was funny that the ref was a yellow mouse in a ref outfit. They decided to enter as a duo. For a few hours they tag teamed their way to the championship. They were crown the winners after a quick match. We ventured around the festival. I slowly began to notice something. All of the staff that were running the stands and the attractions were all yellow mice. I finally relooked at the name of the festival. The banner said that it was the Pikachu Festival. Underneath the sign was that said, “the only festival run by Pikachus.” I began to chuckle at the idea yet here it was. I could tell that this was a huge success. The spokesperson was a Pikachu and it announced that the fireworks show would start soon. We quickly grabbed some snacks and went to the show. The fireworks show started with a loud bang which did make Absol jump, but she calmed down s soon as she saw the colors in the sky. We sat there watching fireworks until midnight when the final one exploded. We gathered some last minute snacks and found a vacancy at a nearby hotel to spend the night.
