I can sympathize with you about not being able to have your partner with you during appointments. I had my daughter in February 2021 and my husband was not allowed at any of my appointments but was luckily allowed in the hospital. It was a really hard time to not have any visitors or be able to celebrate with anyone. Wishing you a safe and straightforward delivery!

I had my “Blueberry” in 2020 in Chiba during one of the first major lockdowns and was also told my husband couldn’t be with me. If you are open to it, look into midwiferies. We went and found one so that we could be together for the birth. I was also in my third trimester when we found a place to deliver! So happy for you guys! I’m so sorry that it hasn’t been going the way you may have imagined, I’ve been there. This season hasn’t been easy for Moms and we need to mourn our losses but also look forward to our beautiful babies ♥️

I was out of work in 2020 when I was pregnant and felt so scared a potential employer would not hire me because of it. Luckily I found a company that supported me. Just make sure that you and the baby get some relaxation in that you need. Have those celebrations between the two of you. That is totally fine. Also, Paulo from Paolo fromTOKYO's wife had a baby during the... panini lol... and she documented the process at a clinic (she had difficulty finding a spot at the hospitals as well). Paulo wasn't allowed into any appointments or at the clinic during the delivery so it was nice to hear him be frank about it. I'm not sure if this will help but wanted to put that out there. The reality of not having parents be there for you hits hard to home, my parents havent seen their grandson since he was born 2 years ago, lockdowns have been extremely tough. Congratulations! I can only imagine what your experience has been like. I just had my first kid four months ago in Canada, and my husband had to skip all the appointments too, it's definitely a more lonely, isolating experience during the panoramic. At least my side of the family is not that far away, but my husband's family in the US missed our wedding and my entire pregnancy. Good luck with everything! You will do great.
