Fantastic! Could your publishing house The Plough make this book available to Christians everywhere? I'm an Anglican I. California and have been really enjoying publications from the Bruderhoff like Called to Community. The Spirit is moving all of us towards unity in these last days. I am so moved and inspired by your posts, Laura!!!!

You remind me of someone I went to college with around 2013-2014. I only had one or two classes with her. I thought she was friendly and interesting, and I was curious to know more about her, but I didn't want to come across weird and annoying. She gave me a book I believe her grandfather had written called Rich in Years.

Nice book, yes of course is good to publish it not only in English language but also in Persian (Farsi), why, because today I saw in news that in last 40 years one million Muslim Iranian has converted to Christianity, and the despotic Iranian regime has arrested hundreds of them and are now in jail just because of their new faith, and in Iran they are known as the "New Faith People", interesting, isn't it.... surely they would love to read this interesting book....

Very inspirational imagining of Hebrews 11. It should be published...and possibly as a children's coloring book. The stark black and white artwork has the feel of a woodcut and counterculture 70's poster art. Well read too btw Laura.

The book is beautifully illustrated! I am impressed by the art, the drawings and the penmanship. And I understand that the book was made as an act of love, which is always a good thing. But my problem is: I don’t see the charm of this particular chapter, Hebrews 11, for reasons I will explain - maybe I’m a bully for writing this when you share these fine drawings and your father loves this chapter, but I think some questions need to be addressed Why are Moses and Jephthah commended as good examples of faith in this text? Are the really such good examples for us? The faith of Moses lead among other things to a massacre of women and children (boys and probably male babies as well): “Moses, Eleazar the priest and all the leaders of the community went to meet them outside the camp. Moses was angry with the officers of the army-the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds-who returned from the battle. “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the LORD in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the LORD’s people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man. “Anyone who has killed someone or touched someone who was killed must stay outside the camp seven days. On the third and seventh days you must purify yourselves and your captives. Purify every garment as well as everything made of leather, goat hair or wood.” (Numbers 31: 13-21) I suspect Moses must have been a psychopath. And Jephthah’s faithful fanatism made him burn to death his own daughter, because he had promised God a human sacrifice for winning a battle, this according to the book of Judges, chapter 11 These two are hardly good examples to follow, are they? Another example of the men “commended for their faith” in Hebrews chapter 11 is Abraham. Just think for one moment about how he treated his sons: He drove his firstborn son, Ishmael, and also poor Hagar, the slave mother of his son, out in the desert alone where they both risked death, and this according to the Bible was done as an act of faith. (Gem 21:8-17) Is that really the way a good father - or a good person - would have acted? If somebody today in 2022 should do something similar because he felt God was asking him to do it, wouldn’t we be right in thinking him mad? Also, the way Abraham treated Isaac when he almost sacrificed him, was not ok either, IMO. It must have been pure psychological torture for the son. And, BTW; do you think the daughters of Noah kept happily dancing as the rain went on, and all the neighbours, men, women, teenagers, toddlers, babies (and unborn babies) started to scream in fear and drown around them? Where they evil babies and evil toddlers who deserved death?

It sounds good to me, very good. All the trash I've had put in my way that tried to twist my mind, hmmmmmm. Where it sounds very very good to me! Alyssa's interpretive views sounds about on spot. Which the heathens ideologies, I suspect she's on spot! Intellectual arguments and views, uhhhhh, I think she's closer than many. I may have missed something, but again, sounds she has the right idea. Consider, others realize the power of force. Numbers, weapons, etc., The so called real world, where they do not know the real world they do not see. I'd put money on Alyssa! I can appreciate your view of a hardcover, I think. But, she's saying so much, Where it's very to the point and very real. Thurs, 17th.
