Kelly, you are the embodiment of “that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” I know how trite that is and how many times you must have heard variations of it over the last couple of years, but it is true. All I will say as a grieving mother of my son Dan who died in 2017 due to cancer at 28, I met a lot of families the last seven years who lost a son or daughter. The first year of loss is tough, but brace yourself, the second year is worse. The reasons why is you are no longer in shock, the brain fog leaves, and 365 days of acceptance have taken place. I’m glad we were your sounding board and now that chapter of Jeff has been written, burned and now his name does not need to be spoken again! It’s in the past and so has the memory of the way the house used to look. The three of you have come out the other side and you need to be proud of yourselves for that❤ New year new inspiration. The invitation to be a speaker at the sheriffs dept is a great gift and the one thing you spoke about of Ray that resonated with me is when people came to pick up things they bought of his you showed them a picture of Ray or gave them a picture of Ray so they knew the man that owned it.
