I really loved this movie. I hadn't read the book when I saw it, but even so I was instantly suspicious of whose house that was at the end. The way I read it Rebecca was genuinely interested in Eileen, but as soon as there's a dead body it gets too real. I also think the need to interrogate overpowers those genuine feelings. Both Thomasin McKenzie and Anne Hathaway are awesome, but I really feel Marin Ireland deserved more attention. You can often get Oscar nominated for one killer monologue (America Ferrera...) so why couldn't Marin Ireland?

I really believe that this is a rare case of the film being best experienced if you read the book first. Watching the movie after having read Eileen's inner thoughts - I could see all of it on Thomasin McKenzie's face. Anne Hathaway was, of course, brilliant, but I was blown away by how well Thomasin McKenzie encapsulated that character.

I definitely didn't know what I was getting into with this movie. All I knew was who was in it. My only disappointment is I wanted to know what happened to the two of them at the end. It just kinda stopped and I feel like we're missing about 20 to 30 mins of movie.
