Thank you for your reaction, Carl. Like you said, it’s a blessing to be alive in the same era as Dimash. I’ve seen someone commenting before that it’s as though “a nightingale built its nest in his throat,” and I think that is a fitting statement. I see that many Dears have already suggested the “Know Vocalise,” and I’m glad to hear that you will do an analysis of it. I would like to suggest two other songs that are less well known, but they are very lovely. The first is “Thousands of miles, a common dream,” also known as “万里梦同心” in Mandarin. Dimash has performed it as a duet with other singers, but I confess that my favorite version is the one he sings by himself in 2020 on CCTV1. That one is not uploaded on his channel, but it is easy to find on KZbin. The second song was the soundtrack for a videogame, and it won the Hollywood Music in Media Award for “Best Original Song.” The song is “Ocean Over Time,” and it is not on Dimash’s channel either. I think you will enjoy (and even be shocked) by both of these songs. I’m sure others have already said this a million times, but I have to repeat it. You are unbelievably skilled with words and explanations, and I think you would make an incredible teacher. Edit: I do have to say, I would really appreciate further elaboration on some parts. For example, you explained scatting in more detail, but you also mentioned such terms as "yodeling" and "reverse vibrato," if I remember correctly, and as someone who knows almost nothing about vocals, I would love to hear more details about those things in your videos.

It's the Armenian song, I'll die for the wind of the mountains, Di prepared a few hours before his concert in Yerivan. It's a tribute to the suffering of the Armenian people during the genocide caused by the Ottoman Empire. I suggest to take the compilation LiLaSi has made, to fully understand the background of this song. As you liked so much Samaltau, I bet you will love this one to.
