So let me break this down: -$500 -One month to learn how to use it -One hour to do your hair -It burns you just like a regular curling wand if it's to close to your scalp -You need to change wands to do each side of your hair -Noisy (A full hour of noise) -It only works with the "perfect level" of dampness -To make just one "curl" you need to put your hair in a perfect angle on heat mode, wait, turn it to cold, wait, turn it off and pray to the gods -Results: the curls fall down almost instantly, it's useful if you like to curl just the very ends of your hair -curling wands are faster, you can perm your hair 5 times for that price, and you can use heatless methods to curl your hair: all of them give longer lasting curls Conclusion: HAHAHA no thank you, not in a million years

This is what I was thinking. I was never going to buy this thing anyway but I mean Jesus. I have hair probably a little longer than Tatis and it’s thick and I already take longer than I ever thought I would putting on makeup in the morning. If I can’t get my hair blown dry and laying just so within 15 minutes in a bun it goes. I have to get to work people! I’d be having to get up at 3 am to do all that.

Hi Tati! Even though a product is popular and everyone seems to like it, I don't think you should feel pressured to like it as well! This product is simply impractical. Maybe it would be good for a night out, but there's no way the average person has the time to use this! There was nothing wrong with your first vid--a lot of people, including me, don't read instruction manuals at first and immediately try to use a product. It was a first impressions and completely valid!

Still not worth the money in my opinion. All you get is basically just volume and shine and that's after a whole hour of boredom and a month into getting to know how to use it. For almost $600 it should be easier and it should be able to hold the curl, just saying.

The honesty and the “okay I quickly judged so here is an update.” $500 who can blame you for trying it over and over and as complicated as it looks to use it’s understandable why you had issues. This product is a NOPE PASS.. Reasons: 1. My hair is thick 2. My hair is long. Almost to my booty. 3. The price 4. Time to achieve results, yes which is because of length and thickness of my hair. 5. My hair won’t hold a curl at all ever.. my daughter though has curly curly hair, mines board straight. 6. The sound- not being able to hear anything while using.. 7. I don’t use products/tools on my hair. Just wash ( maybe twice a week at most) then air dry.

I think the main reason she made this video is because as she continued using it as the need to try using it more to give it a fair review she just altered what she originally thought about it. Yes she's influenced by the fans and what they say but she still has her own thought and did do a proper second review to show that she is open to change and gives proper and fair reviews for products. I believe this shows how good of a reviewer she is. Also she shows that she, like normal people, can change her mind about products and is honest about it.

This is not a curling wand. This is a simplified way of a ROUND BRUSH BLOWOUT (building Body & volume into the hair) the way a professional would. Also, there is a learning curve to it, and it does not get hot enough to get your hair where it needs to be, but it is too hot for the skin, so you do need to pull it away from your scalp a bit. Your hair should be 80%-90% dry before you start to build Body & volume into the hair. It's like when you go to a Blowout Bar and they "Rough Dry" your hair first. They are taking out the water because it doesn't need to be that wet to start the blowdry. However, I don't think this product is for everyone. It's for a certain person. It looks good your hair, and if you keep going your technique will get better.

I don 't know if people just need justification for spending over $500 on a styling product. If you like it and have the $$$, by all means purchase it. I don't think Tati (or any other KZbinr) loving it or hating it should make that much of a difference. For as much as this item costs, it shoud be goof-proof, hair intuitive, and frankly require no other prep/styling tools, creams or sprays whatsoever. Unless someone looks at my hair and says, "You used a Dyson," which is such a long shot- I just dont believe the item is worth the price tag, and I'm curious if in 5 more years when more companies either replicate this product or come out with new technology if the price will drop.

I LOVE this product. I love big bouncy hair, and used to use hot rollers - would take me around 40mins to put into my hair and then I’d have to leave them for an hour to cool. The Dyson airwrap completely changed this for me. After I wash my hair I simply give it a light dry, then use the airwrap curling wands. Super easy, super quick, amazing results that last me the week. I don’t see the point in complaining about the price. Who cares if you can’t afford it, get your $50 curlers. I’ve got thick medium length hair and have gone through a good dozen curlers in my time. The airwrap is worth it to me and is THE ONE.

I'm actually kind of upset that you were bullied into loving this thing. It seems so ridiculous that you have to take such TINY sections and at the end have a result that is just mediocre. A curling iron would have given you the same look with a fraction of the time. I have the dyson dryer and love it, but this is SUCH an easy pass. Way overhyped and more of a cumbersome thing than a solution to anyone's problems.

@nessapie23
@nessapie23 5 жыл бұрын
She had poor results because she started from the top instead of the bottom, broke her curls up right away and flipped her hair around every direction. This tool is no different than first blow drying your hair and then curling, except you stop blow drying once your hair is 80% dry. Then you section the top, do the bottom, let the curls sit and keep going through layers until done. I have seen a lot of people get great results with this. No matter the hair type nice things can be achieved with proper steps.
@gabimoneratt
@gabimoneratt 5 жыл бұрын
@@nessapie23 bear with me for a second. This needs super thin sections, and the fact there is very little tension on the hair means you don't get the greatest heat transfer. With a curling iron you can easily get 3 to 5 times the amount of hair she's doing per section, which means taking, at the very least, 3 to 5 times less time curling your hair. Even if you get decent or good results with this, you get the same results with something cheaper and quicker. So how is this tool actually useful to the average user? What is the point in paying 500-600 dollars for a product that makes your routine take longer and more complicated? I really don't see the point.
@nessapie23
@nessapie23 5 жыл бұрын
@@gabimoneratt if you use the blow dryer attachment and blow dry your hair 80% dry and then section and curl from the bottom up it will save you time and you can get similar results. Improper use of any tool will get you poor results. This is a more advanced tool which some may adapt to easier than others but she hasn't fully adapted and she may never adapt and that's ok it's not for everyone. I have naturally curly hair and to get straight or bouncy curls that aren't tight takes me 2 to 3 hours. An hour to hour and a half to blow dry and another hour to hour and a half to flat iron or curl the way people do with curling irons and it is more damaging unfortunately. Is this dyson product hella expensive, absolutely. All retail products are and this should cost $200 less than what it does. I would pay $300 for it but not $540. This is a time saving product if used properly.

@@ivyk5796 when my hair was that long it was the lowest maintenance. I didn't have to wash as often and the curl was better. Also less frizz because of the weight would smooth it out. But if I put it in a bun it would take like 2 days to dry. 🤣

Right?! I don't even do 90% of the things other gals tend to do these days and half because time and half because skills lol But i know an hour doing makeup and hair minimum for my basic look seems like forever to my husband lol it is nice when guys get how much effort it really does take and respect the process LOL

Thanks Tati for all of the effort that you put into this video!! You have a TON of hair my friend and it is absolutely beautiful. I think your hair turned out beautiful although the effort was truly not worth it. My hair is much thinner and shorter and yes, I'd buy this thing in a hot second but they are sold out everywhere!! Really enjoy your videos, thanks!!

Still way to much work. I have thick hair and by the time I got 1/4 done the rest would be to dry. Im not paying $529 to put in this much effort.

I still don’t see the appeal of this product, yes it’s fancy and all that but my curling iron is $16 from tj maxx and does the same thing and the curls actually last. $600 for a curling iron is more than I pay for my 2016 car, car insurance and internet bill combined...my brain just can’t compute this purchase.

I think this product is sort of similar to purchasing Apple products. When people buy Apple, Nike, *insert other name brand luxury item*, they're paying for the label, brand, and status that comes with owning the item. The Dyson seems to be the same. I'm sure it does work for some people, but I do think there is a certain novelty of owning a $550 hair curler that does comparable work to other curling products. Some people enjoy investing in their beauty routine and have the money to do it which is fine, but I think their money would be better spent on other luxury products. This seems ridiculously overpriced considering how difficult it is to use even for someone as experienced as Tati.

I watched Kayley Melissa try this. She’s a pro stylist. Hated it. This takes waaaaaay too much time. I’ll curl it in half the time with an iron!
@katcao5403
@katcao5403 5 жыл бұрын
But the difference is that a curling iron is way more damaging for the hair....That's why I think Dyson might be worth it for people with thin fragile hair. It's revolutionary in that sense.

Katcao true but you just set the heat lower. And $500 is out of a lot of ppls range

@@C1nderfire I mean I agree, it's very expensive (all Dyson products are)...but some people forget that it comes with 6 different styling wands, so it's like buying 6 devices at approximately 100$ each. I think the problem is that you have to buy it all or nothing.
@C1nderfire
@C1nderfire 5 жыл бұрын
Katcao yes exactly. If we could buy the attachments do that wb better. Plus I would prefer the wand to be longer. Ppl with long or thick hair need that space😂

I love this product , I have a 4th grader and let me just say her hair is on point among her friends, raise your hand if you child hair is unruly, I use the soft brush on her hair, it stays amazing for a few days before she had to wash it again and before I have to style her hair, between days I spirits with a little water and brush it out refresh the hair , love this worth the money,

Your hair looks great. I think that spending that much time on it the current should last longer though. I love that you gave an update on your feelings on the product though.

Hi Tati. Loyal halo kiwi customer here. Gone through 3 bottles and just ordered another 3. My cystic acne has completely gone and my texture and redness is now ‘normal’. I was just wondering if you’d considered selling a 12 month supply, or doing a subscription service so people consistently buying get some kind of discount when buying in bulk? It would be something I’d be very interested in, because I can’t imagine not taking kiwi now (The original didn’t quite work for me in the long term because of the biotin, but kiwi has transformed my skin).
