I'm sorry... I was wrong! - How to be stupid #1

The soldering iron had the temperature calibration problem. I wanted to compensate a bit, by replacing the original thin cable with a normal 1,5 mm power cable, which could handle and deliver higher and more stable current. Boy, was that a mistake... Enjoy and I'm sorry for recommending a trash product.

Man, that's unfortunate. I don't think there was anything wrong with your soldering, but you know how it goes with electronics repair - you gradually get better with this, one piece of destroyed tech at a time. If it makes tou feel any better my destroyed-to-fixed-electronics ratio is probably around 1:1, sometimes stuff gets fixed, sometimes it fails spectacularly

Thank you very much my friend 😁 I used to get really upset when I was younger and stuff like this happened. Not anymore, it's all a part of the learning experience. Oh yes, 1:1 ratio is a real, honest, ratio of someone that fixes electronics regularly.

@@milanfixer well IT îs your fault actualy You see the earth pin wasn't atached with a scope the ic was conectez there along with the ground supply so when you conected the Earth wire you killed the entire circuit why do you think the tip was not grounded ?

@@andreiciora2765 Can't argue with that. The video is named "How to be stupid" for a reason. The thing that actually threw me off was that continuity test didn't show there was any contact. But since I don't have a differential probe, I wouldn't be probing my scope nowhere near mains voltage - don't want another BOOM.

​@@milanfixer lol, i'm the other way around, i expect the universe to explode the second i plug anything in. It was legit one of the scariest things in my life to repair a friend's E-Bike because if it went wrong we could end up with a lithium fire (YAY). Thankfully it went okay despite my soldering iron being very jank
