I Live in Australia and I could see parts of myself as how it just gets worse. This clearly shows a case where violence dosn't win and an innocent unborn life never got to live. Last night my one just becomes more violent. Sometimes I wonder if I will survive. He blames it on lockdown. Even though it's over now it's impacted us all. But after being hurt again last night I felt angry , I mean more angry than usual saying in my mind " No More". I have fortunatly a apartment I am moving into and it's hard because I know when I'm in my new apartment , he will not be. This is so hard desicion to make but I'm so Physically and emotionally exhausted I just need to know what I want . Not what he wants. Thank you so much for bringing this to awareness in it's true form. xx
@uddajag82322 жыл бұрын
So much I want to say to you, but let's start with this; if you are wondering wether you'll survive you're in real danger. Leaving is the right decision. No excuse can justify verbal and/or physical abuse of your partner, I repeat, there's NO valid excuse. If you haven't already, talk to people close to you, family, friends, whoever you think will believe and support you. Tell them what's going on, ask for help. Seek help from professionals also, whatever help is available to you, health care professionals, social services, non profit organisations etc. I don't know how these things are organised in Australia so unfortunately I can't help you with that. You will need support to stand firm in your decision (because he will most likely try to get you back. He will make promises and probably threats if promises doesn't work and you need to resist, and that's hard on your own) and you need help to make sure you're safe when you're leaving. Please take care of yourself. Because things don't get better with time in abusive relatonships and more often they get worse.

A month has passed since you posted and I hope your life is going wonderful now, but if not, hang in there until you get out. While I was going through the process of planning to end my relationship I used to say that even my Soul is exhausted from the whole thing and it really was... the process of leaving is the hardest part of the entire relationship and for me it took multiple attempts, but once it's over Life can begin again so it's well worth it.. it's a true labor of self love. I pray for the Victims worldwide every single night and I will say an extra word for you tonight.

This deserves a standing ovation & I can see why it won all of those awards listed above. We know that there was a big increase in reported DV cases during lockdown but just think of the unreported incidents, there had to be a massive increase in attacks and I know it caused a an increase in incidents where there was loss of life. I watched my mother and sister go through this for years. Whether you are male or female, once out...seek therapy. Focus on getting yourself well or you could end up like they did. Seemed destined to get in same situation time and again just with different names of the men. Something was broken in them. They never gave themselves the chance to heal from it all. You have to love, respect and have boundaries for yourself first. Great vid. I pray it helps someone to see before they have to go this far.

Getting pregnant wasn't my choice. During pregnancy I was terrified that he would do something and I would lose another baby. I had a lot of miscarriage's before... I gave birth about two months before Covid happened. I had SARS before that. Despite his warnings that I was not to go outside or that I wasn't allowed to visit friends for fear of getting sick and hurting the baby he would constantly have people over. I had complications giving birth and they wanted to keep me longer but it had been almost a week and he wanted me home. He threatened to take the baby home without me. My life was a horrid nightmare. I left with our child when she was a year old but the abuse didn't stop. I still deal with him pushed by a uncaring justice system that believes that two parents are better than one in any given situation. No, he doesn't pay child support and the last time he had visitation was Christmas, I only speak to him via written media. But this doesn't deter him. He still insults me, still screams at me that I "stole her," still calls me a terrible and pathetic person... People scream at you to leave and when you finally do you think you're free. You're not. Sure, it's better but it's not freedom. Thank you for this project.

I grew up in a domestic abuse situation with my older sister. Abuse knows no boundaries, it doesn't discrimate to gender, age or race....for many abuser it is a learned behavior from their parents. In my case it was rooted in jealousy and evil. My sister would humiliated, insult me physically, mentally, and emotionally. My father died when I was 5, my sister was 8, my mother was a very petite christian woman who really wasnt strong enough to deal properly with my sister, this was back in the 60-70's...there were not many options as there are today. Abuser/oppressers start their manipulation very early in a relationship to get their victims to conform. Its called grooming, gaslight. I am actually surprised that this man took his own life because many are not that self aware or care that they are at fault. I was trauma bonded to my sister and my own value system kept me tied to her for a very long time. I too am alot like this woman, believing there is good in people. That things no matter how dark there will be light.....the problem with that is we dont see reality or acceptance until its too late. I finally reach that point at 45 yrs old and my sister's husband sexually assaulted me right in front of her,, all while she knew he was about to do it and said nothing, afterwards telling me it was all my fault...I decided then I had enough....and NO MORE. I walked out and severed all relationship with them both. I am 65 yr old domestic abuse survivor Some ppl can be saved if they chose to, and accept their responsibility and get some help. Others are doomed to live their lives living with evil, and they will continue to find their victims in living caring individuals who truly should protect themselves....knowledge is power...

Half way through I am not finding either party innocent in the dynamic. He is very bossy and possessive and she is overly irritating and patronising towards him and his job loss. Her experience is not his experience. Her issue with her parents was a good example. They did not need her. No man ever has an excuse to lay a finger on a woman or to lock her in the house. The real problem with the lock downs was it denied people their freedom and individual autonomy. Relationships aren’t perfect and people are not made to spend every minute of every day with one another. We are all fed nonsense about romance from the day we are born. Life isn’t all roses and singing angels. She keeps calling him honey. That itself is enough to make you want to @/!”* . Love is like families where arguments do take place and your brother or sister kicks or pinched you occasionally. True violence is another matter. Penned up rage comes from not expressing what is bothering you when you should. It comes from repression and lack of honesty.

That's what loving people do In a good stable relationship. Show concern. She was not irritating him. Stop using accuses for him. He plain and simple bully. Their always sorry . And they always hit you again and Again.

Dear Ulrike, my friend's husband lost his job. He was so angry. His wife was so supportive. She helped him rewrite his CV. She saw him to the door each time He went for a Job Interview, encouraged him when He got turned down. He finally got a better Position than before. She has a PhD. He has none. Two years later she got ill. He decided to Change jobs so that he could Work from Home. When He IS Frustrated He Talks to His wife or does some gardening.❤❤❤ I just left a two and a half abusive relationship. Hot and cold. Sometimes he literally begged for my advice and then it was None of my business. Loving people Just want to Help their loved ones. Even though HE treated me Like dirt , cheated on me and all. I almost went crazy. He backed Off therapy a day before WE we're due. It has been five months since I left. But He IS still the Love of my life. He had major anger issues but He blamed it all on me. She Made No mistake. She loved and knew No better

1. You dont go into a room where the guy is panicking and raging, you stay out, he can handle himself and needs space. 2. When hes unemployed and panicking, he doesnt need to hear they can to spend more time together but he needs a job bc hes thinking about survival and their future, especially with the kid. Its like she cant read him at all, like she's socially incompetent.

Jesus christ!!!!.... cannot actually believe you've written this!! It's like saying that every victim of dv deserves. What an awful, disgraceful, belittling thing to say. Utterly vile person

@vixinaful Classic victim blaming. AND making excuses for this man's sickness. This is why domestic abuse continues. Have you discernment or empathy?

@@wendyfaith1048 I am a survivor of abuse myself which is why I know what not to do since the abuse nearly cost me my life. I now live with concequences of the abuse everyday and wil never get well again.

@@Vixinaful I am also a survivor of abuse. Strangulation! It took decades before it bubbled to the surface and I had a breakdown that could not be avoided any longer. I reached out and got medical help, meds to help me sleep. I was sleep deprived for years and suffered nightmares and night terrors with caused sleep deprivation. I also found a great therapist who has infinite empathy and a quiver of treatment options. It is like peeling an onion and new information arises. Finally I can talk to my sons about the abuse. Their support is worth so much. Having said all of this I also know that the experiences have eroded trust in general, sometimes what I feel is not what is happening in reality and sometimes I just playing old tapes. It TAKES TIME,,, it took me 73 years to get here and will take time to work it out. Recently came across a documentary about strangulation abuse and found out how close death was in those moments. HOWEVER it moved me out of victim territory to survivor status. There is so much information from good credible sources,,, search it out. There are so many of us out here, unacknowledged, untreated and unsupported. DON'T BE ALONE!! You are not alone!!! Be patient and kind to yourself and have hope!!! You can get better.

Hola María, Es una película sobre violencia de género, no la podemos hacer alegre porque no es la realidad. Muchas mujeres viven en un infierno en sus propias casas y eso es lo queríamos mostrar. But thank you for watching. 😊
