Thanks for understanding! Again, this is not a goodbye or "I'm quitting" - just letting you know the main focus is a separate channel now. I'll still use this channel in the future. Maybe for short-form clips, Vlogs, announcements... maybe I'll make a 2-hour knitting tutorial (my new passion). If you look for the "DRVN Podcast" and filter by "channel" it should show up 🙂

As you Allow You to Grow up and out, so too will your viewers and you will also have new viewers.... Please don't let your Chanel be guided like a bad marriage, where people learning don't want to grow learning towards each other, except they grow apart. Don't be so influenced by comments demanding you stay your old self... maybe just mix it up a bit to suit Yourself, and cope as best you can with the 'growing pains'

HI, There is something that I would like to point out. I have been watching your videos for a while and the last video I saw was that you were quitting. After that KZbin NEVER pushed any of your videos (podcasts) on my feed and now you were the first one on my feed. I don't think I am alone, I think a lot of us didn't get your videos recommended. Best of luck friend!

Absolutely important to have production quality. The more a person is grinding, the less time he has to watch full things. Seperate podcast for the selfhelp addicts, highlight channel, and this one with more high quality/condenced content

Hi, Leon! Don’t get your dopamine from strangers! 😀The first of your videos I watched was the one with Chase Hughes. I was so impressed with your authenticity that I subscribed. I appreciated how you were processing Chase’s words and working through his concepts genuinely with the rest of us! So, idk what your other content was, but I’m 100% in favor of more shows like that one.

Fellow creator's opinion: Starting a new channel for this content is probably the right move, YT's algorithms have so much data about the archetypal viewer for the current channel, it's got huge momentum with folks who like shorter and bingeable narrative, story-driven, cinematic content imho. Probably a different crowd than those who tune in for a meandering hour(s)long discussion that can deep dive or get into tangents, and will visually be lots of static shots. Just different avatars. Also, I can totally appreciate how having that "clean slate" from a fresh channel will take lots of pressure off in terms of old viewer expectations and your own internal aspirations about what kind of views the channel "should" be able to draw. All the best!
@TeluguSuperhumans

I 100% agree to this! I experienced the same when I was growing my channel as well. The reason people followed me is because I always made videos that are quite unique and fresh but most importantly I made them because I chose the topics that interested me. But sometimes you feel to make videos that your subscribers are asking you to make and it’s not a problem. But if you do it all the time then you will lose interest in making videos and also the content will suffer which will ultimately lead to burn out! So, my advice is to make videos that interests you because it will bring the light within you!

Hi Leon, I have no idea of the time and effort that goes into the production of different YT formats but I really did enjoy your videos of 11-12+ months ago. I would learn a great deal and very much look forward to your releases. I’m no so much a fan of the more recent podcast format. While I’m sure the are very informative I don’t find them as engaging. Maybe that’s the guests personality or the specific topics that have been covered. I just don’t think YT is the best place for long-form podcasts as this is not where I go for podcast content. Whatever you do going forward, I wish you the very best. Good luck buddy

I did the same with my channel. I went from making dioramas to gashapon (Japanese capsule toys) and my shorts do so bad but on Tiktok, it completely worked and grew from 115k followers to about 220k followers and the videos do millions of views. Thinking I might just do a new channel but generally KZbin is harder than Tiktok so I won't expect much.

Hello Leon, I've been Subscribed for a while now since seeing the video you mentioned in the video. I comment on videos 5% or less of the time and only comment with feedback or something to either help the creator or comment on how good a the video is. You've given an amazing statement about this and those who watch and read this comment will agree. Creators don't always comment and those who do support other creators as we know how hard it can be in making content. Just keep on going until something clicks and you find something that feels right for you. Also: I do get somewhat anxious vibes from you. I think you are trying a little too hard (as you have noticed yourself in some videos). I like resources like Sid Walker's 'Trust your gut' or Michael Singer's 'Surrender experiment' or even David Hawkins' 'Letting go'. For me, those helped to have more trust und go with the flow and not try to force so much.

yes i can tell you one thing, changing audience base is extremely difficult on KZbin because of the algorithm. It's super confused to a point that it doesn't know who to push your contents to anymore. I had a English learning channel with around 5k subs and i wanted to switch to topics in self-growth, business, money making kind of content, you will see that people just simple don't care about these topics. they came to my channel to learn language skill. I posted the exact same content on my burner account, surprisingly, the algorithm picked it up and start pushing to the right audience, with only 26 subs, the view count surpasses the account with 5k subs in just a few days. it's just insane....i totally feel you Leon. My suggestion: you have that fear of losing that 600k subs, but the truth MIGHT be - give it up and start a new account if that podcast content is what you wanna push. You have to draw new audience for that particular content style.

I thought it might be worth mentioning that I found your channel a few weeks ago from the podcast you posted, and subscribed at that moment. So, it's not like you aren't getting any new viewers from this channel. Hey man, Just to add to your theory: I do respond with an anonymous account on stuff that's outside of my work. I do react with my own name on stuff that is inside my field of work. I don't think I feel entitled, but people do tell me that I'm brutally honest. I've also seen that my need to tell people what I think of them / something pushes some away and attract others. So, in my case: I think that I am a small percentage of the population. But I do it to contribute and have no bad intentions. I've also commented on your videos before. Sometimes good, sometimes constructive. That's because I think you are a very talented and inspiring creator. Keep up the good work! I will definitely keep an eye out for the new channel.

Ahh.. Even the greatest face challenges... Builds and empire and wants to rebuild it... There's absolutely no reason to abandon the progress. With like/dislike ratio you proved yourself wrong. The content is so spot on that people just accept your outlook and don't say anything. You have some of the greatest following just waiting for your release. How many people are known by 600k people? Out of the blue switch? Do a podcast and feed the fish. Who will be hurt by extra type of content? Stop reading the comments! You have created something big, but it obviously reached a boiling point. E.g. Joe Rogan gives no crap about comments, even though it took him more than 1000 episodes to be the biggest "news" station. Giving no crap about comments is the working from the inside out. Videos like this are self-victimising that let you speak out, but unfortunately none of 600k people will be compassionate due to you being here for their service. Mixing in personal thinking and business doesn't work well together. If you have a challenge, it's best to discuss it and make a decision without having to upset even more viewers. Some comments seem to have stuck with you, but work through them by striving for great alternatives you know you can deliver. Catch a break, have a nice holiday, expand your ideas. Get the balance of working outside-in, and inside-out, ignore the "constructive-criticism" and focus on yourself, just don't forget to stay humble, give back to your family. Release a banger of a video of transcending into a superhuman, and the fish will forget that you're entertaining them and doing podcasts. Never destroy your creations, adjust your strategy for better output without asking. I enjoyed the podcast, and my fishbrain handled all of it, but I might not always have the time. I guess you understood that your purpose cannot be purely people pleasing, and you made a mistake of reading the goblin comments lol Just carry on what you do best man. If you do another video, some viewers may complain etc, but that's the result and just carry on. Goblins have only so much steam and they're rarely taken seriously by anyone. The MrBeast for example, has fallout about mental friend and releases a video. 90% of people went "Meh, fish is here to feed". The view of the creator changes slightly, but absolutely no one is perfect and can have reasons to change approach. Good luck and don't beat yourself up for attempting to do more/better.
