I hope they release the g703 superlight weeks after this video.

This is fantastic, I modded a Anyware 3s mouse with smaller battery and 3D printed battery holder, saved 6 grams and spend more than I should have, but you know what, it was dam worth it because I can!!!!! keep the videos coming

@@D4VIEES You can print it yourself. Type in the search engine: "Rs 703 (Logitech G703 Custom mod)". I just added holes to this model to make the model lighter. I got 63g. The full model is slightly heavier. P.S. If you want, I can send you my lightweight model.

Have tried this on other mice myself, and usually found that the only significant weight reduction I could do was snapping off redundant plastic support pieces or drilling holes in the mouse (not recommended unless you have actual good tools.).
@Talynen2 жыл бұрын
Ditching the tray for the optional weight is 2.5g, putting it at 92.5g before opening it up. You can remove the battery cover on the 703 (2.5 grams) and relocate the battery, as well as remove the magnets and wireless charging circuit (another 2.5g). The plastic cone under the back hump that's used to "direct" the LED for the logo is unnecessary and can be cut out even if you like using the RGB. That gets you down to 87g and it's basically all reversible (except the plastic cone). If you don't use the DPI button, the physical button and the DPI switch PCB can be removed for another two grams (reversible as long as you can solder) and cover the small hole on top of the mouse that leaves with some electrical tape. Some of the plastic towards the rear of the mouse can be skeletonized with a Dremel tool without harming the build quality or making any visible holes in the mouse. I think it's worth about two grams. You can get it down to 83g with those steps, or 84g if you want to leave the physical DPI button in place so it looks totally stock. I haven't yet found any methods to remove significantly more weight without putting big holes in the bottom of the mouse.

@@Talynen did exactly this to my 403 WL to get it to 95 grams, but it seems like the 703 is a bit lighter to begin with.

I went back to this mouse from the Superlight 2. My K/d is relatively more consistent with the g703, but the mouse overall is very comfortable

I actually like the weight of the G703! I really missed the weight when moved from it to a Roccat Kone Pro, as the mouse was just way too light for me - to the point that I'm currently using a Basilisk V2 instead. I'm looking forward to eventually picking up G502 X wired, as the weight is ideal for my tastes - and G502 Hero was actually too heavy for me - but they really dropped the ball with the cable!! Actually can you do a cable mod for the wired G502 X??

Don't worry man atleast there is a company named "Sprime Gaming Gear" who actually made a G703 inspired shape that is available for pre order now

I also have a g703 and it happened EXACTLY to me, the black thing that broke in the connector is a lock, you have to lift it from the sides so that the cable is released and when you put it back you put the cable and lower the little black thing, like this is secured in place. It happened to me that I accidentally broke it and to fix it as soon as the spare part arrives I discovered that if you place a small piece of masking tape rolled up on itself twice on the blue side of the cable it can act as a lock and keep the cable working. contact and working perfectly, that as soon as I have the spare part of the connector I plan to repair it well, but as a quick fix that piece of tape works quite a lot (you can still use something about... 0.5mm thick to replace the tape, it is not a measure very accurate) ps: srry for my bad english i used the google translator to write that text
