Given that the show claimed that was originally Morgoth's crown, now to one-up Sauron you still need to steal three gemstones made by the greatest elven-smith of all time and hallowed by the goddess of the stars, containing the light of the Two Trees whose fruit and flower the sun and the moon were made of and install those into the crown, and by that action cause like 500+ years of war and misery

Ignore the previous commenter. It's a great show, with an incredible depth of references and lore from the books. Season 1 had pacing issues, but Season 2 has massively improved in every way.

They've never read the Lord of the Rings and know nothing of the lore as evidenced by the fact that they think there's incredible depth of references and lore from the books. The show was clearly written by people unfamiliar with the work as it constantly contradicts the written lore of both the books and Tolkien's addendum writing on the subject. In addition to taking an absolute dump on Tolkien and his work, the dialogue, pacing, writing and world building are an illogical leap from the cliff of despair crashing at the end into the rocks of futile stupidity. The costuming looks like crap, the acting is horrible, the characters unlikable, the lore ignored, the decision making retarded and even as just a stand alone show, it's really boring. While Season 1 was bad, at least the vast majority of it was just made up out of thin air and while there were many points that were a direct attack on Tolkien and his works, Amazon could use the excuse that they were following some fan fiction script written by a 14 year old and it wasn't supposed to be based on anything Tolkien created. Season 2 on the other hand doubles down on the absolute stupidity of the show and the pure hatred of Tolkien's legacy through a point by point deconstruction of Tolkien's entire world building in an attempt to craft some sort of "Twilight" clone that forces an illogical and destructive re-imagining of every part of the lore. Fortunately the audience has spoken and no one is really watching it, the show is hemorrhaging money, it's becoming the laughing stock of the streaming platforms and the chances of it making it past season 3 are nearly zero at this point. The world is healing.

Truly I hope any of the team sees this but regardless we all can see the joy in the content again. I couldn’t imagine the grind KZbin requires now, it’s no longer possible to just be creative and passionate you have to work so hard to keep up with the bs algorithm but we can see the joy again within all the strife and it’s amazing. Great job jazza and team, keep the joy as much as you can.
