And also, since at the quantum level, everything is fundamentally made of energy, and thus mass is an illusion. This means I don't believe in YOU or ME either. Neither of us exist. If I'm not mistaken, crops only grow when you're in the same chunk as them (or reasonably nearby), so if you plant something then wander off for several days exploring, when you get back they'll be in the same state you left them. That's probably not terribly helpful. Watching wheat grow is not exactly compelling KZbin content.
@EpicBoss-2 жыл бұрын
They have to be in the loaded chunks. Seeing as how resource intensive this mod is, Kevin probably set his simulation distance lower, so he has to be around a 100 or so blocks for crops to grow I'm guessing

By default you have to be within 128 blocks and they have to be in loaded chunks. If simulation distance is turned down or you're on Bedrock the distance may be shorter (Bedrock defaults to "only a 64 block radius around the player is loaded, everything past that is frozen in time").

I recognize that whale from one of the mods I have. Unless the way they function got changed for this, they _can_ be killed for food, but they hit pretty hard in defense and stun you if you're using melee. The blubber they drop is pretty crappy food, so they're not really worth going after as a viable food source. Now _eels_ on the other hand... there's some food. One of my singleplayer modded worlds has my base right next to a frozen river that also has lampreys in it. The eels love to get stuck and suffocate in the ice, and the lampreys constantly hunt them without eating their kills, so I just routinely walk along a stretch of the river and pick up the free meat. It cooks insanely fast over campfires/furnaces/smokers, and fills a very respectable number of hunger points. Oh, and if you're planning on staying in an area with those wild boars, keep their population under control or pay the price. They attack pretty much anything that moves on sight, like miniature hoglins, and also reproduce after one boar kills something close enough to another. They can get out of hand very quickly if you leave them to their own devices for too long. They'll attack passive animals too, like horses, which is a good way to lose a horse if you don't keep them in a safe location

There's a ton of mods I can recommend if you're interested; my primary singleplayer world has like 20 bc I wanted more fish to catch, more flowers to plant, animals to collect and raise, and biomes to explore. Even just stumbling across little features that you didn't know were there is so fun to me, like the random chance for pride sweaters on bees in Quark. minecraft biome facts, as requested: - dogs can be found in every version of the forest, taigas, and groves apart from flower fields - cold biomes spawn rabbits, wolves, foxes, polar bears, and occasionally goats. - temperate biomes are most common and spawn most passive mobs. - jungle biomes are the only place to find parrots, melons, pandas, pyramids, and cocoa. sparse jungles exist and are very helpful because you don't have to fight foliage to get through. - there are 50 overworld biomes; 10 of them are in the water. - badlands are fairly rare and spawn near a desert biome and sometimes mountains. mineshafts spawn higher than normal, and so it is not unommon to find one at surface level. gold ore also spawns for frequently and higher up in this biome. there are rumours that this is a fun history reference to the california gold rush :) - mushroom fields are extremely rare and are the only place to find mooshrooms. they are always an island in the middle of a deep ocean biome, and you might be sailing for a while to find them. - the colour of the ground, water, sky, and trees changes based on the temperature. cooler and hotter biomes have greyer looking foiliage, whereas temperate and jungles have brighter colours. helpful if you are unsure what to expect in them. - villages change based on the biome and can spawn in desert, plains, meadow, savanna, taiga, and snowy plains biomes, but they can also bleed over into jungle and swamp biomes. - emeralds can only be found in windswept hills, windswept gravelly hills, and windswept forest. this is all i know about biomes from the top of my head. hope this is helpful! :)

The reason your crops weren’t grown when you came back is because if you go too far away the game “unloads” the chunk. Basically that means everything in that area is essentially paused until you come back. Mobs wont move or spawn, crops and tree wont grow.

Fun fact about apples- they only drop from oak trees (not exactly biome specific but it was something that I was mighty confused about for a while). You can break the wood and as the leaves despawn they may drop apples, or you can destroy the leaves (like with your hand) and they might drop apples. Breaking the leaves by hand as opposed to letting them despawn doesn’t descrease the chances of saplings dropping either, which is handy. Otherwise, apparently breaking oak leaves with a fortune hoe increases apple drops! Wow incredible information! Hope this is helpful in potentially finding food in the future

When growing a tree you get a small chance of also spawning one with a beehive. You can't get acacia and birch logs from shipwrecks but can get the other logs. Junglewood besides being kinda hideous, can grow really high. In jungles you may find lots of 'bushes' which are all with oak stems / logs. One of the worst terrains to travel. Some biomes have specific buildings that can spawn in them. Some biomes have different coloring for grass as well as different types of plants. (Bonemealing the ground produces different plants ans flowers depending on the biome). Villages dont spawn in swamps but if you breed villagers or cure a zombie villager there you can get a special looking villager type. You cannot meet pillagers when near a village in newer updates because their patrols are not allowed to spawn in near you if there is a village in a certain radius from you. A village radius is considered from work stations afaik. Hope this helps! Don't wanna give too much info and let the tactixal genius figure out the rest :)

Desert biomes have more iorn but- y’a know no trees. But if you find dirt you can plant crops and trees. Working with the limited resources adds a fun challenge :) Cold biomes won’t spawn next to hot biomes and vice versa. Beating the game without leaving a mushroom island is impossible.

@@holly2786 You could luck out and get an abandoned mineshaft complex below you. Those have planks in the support pillars. But then you're specifically getting planks not logs, so no charcoal. I can't remember if the chests would have saplings.
@HannibalKantter2 жыл бұрын
@@fluffyphoenix8082 It is impossible because even if you have an End Portal right below the Mushroom Island, there is no way for you to get to it, since there is no wood in that biome. But let's say you get reeeeeally lucky and you find not only a stronghold, but also a mineshaft below the island too. You wouldn't still be able to activate the portal, because no hostile mobs spawn in Mushroom Islands, thus you can't kill Endermen to get Pearls and make Ender Eyes. Of course you still couldn't do so because you need blaze powder for that, so you need to go to the Nether

Bits about my favorite biome the dark forest. It tends to spawn lava lakes that set the whole forest on fire. Because the trees are so dense hostile mobs spawn during the daytime. Woodland Mansions spawn only in this biome. Dark forests are usually bordered by birch forests, but can also often border jungles or old growth taigas.

I'll give you 2 Mooshroom biomes have a special affect, and that is that no hostile mobs can spawn on them Second one is that swamps, in a full moon, can spawn slimes
@WildBluntHickok2 жыл бұрын
Worth noting that the edges of Mooshroom Islands have spots that monsters CAN spawn on. If you check F3 while standing on them they'll claim to be an ocean biome but will be at sea level instead of underwater. Yes I found this out the hard way. 100% destruction of a small mushroom house I had just finished. Turns out mushroom blocks are very very soft and explosive damage rips right through them. I think that was the only time I ever saw a house explosion consume 100% of a house.

Hi Kevin, hope this helps: The mushroom biome is still one of the rarest biomes in Minecraft. It has giant mushrooms and mushroom cows. You can make your favorite food for days, soup! There is a sunflower biome (also rare). The sunflowers should be facing east (unless it's changed since I've played). Gold has a higher spawn rate in the Badlands modified biome. I think someone mentioned iron having a higher spawn rate in planes biome before (not sure on that). And, Emeralds are generally found in the Mountains biome. I haven't played in a long time so if someone would fact check me I'd appreciate it :)

Villagers change clothing according to the biome they are born in. Each nether biome has specific mob spawns. The cyan tree one is the safest as it only spawns endermen and striders.
