I am currently crying so hard right now. This is seriously the most beautiful, well put together story ever. I can’t believe how magical it was 1:12. That part truly made me shed a tear. And especially at 6:34 that part was just so truly heart touching words can not describe the series of emotions I felt. I absolutely loved the climax it had insanely excellent detail. Oh and we can’t forget the conclusion. The conclusion was the greatest and saddest conclusion I have ever seen better than any of the books I have read. Thank you so much for creating this absolute masterpiece. This is essentially the most important masterpiece of film history. It is a tragedy that this, it can’t be called a film, but a transcendent emotional experience, will be inaccessible for most. It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. It connects with the characters within the viewers, individuals suppressed within our own subconscious. It stays vibrant, fresh, and revolutionizes the art of storytelling and filmmaking while making a damn of statement on what it means to be human. Entertaining, gripping, and simply exhilarating. This might be the most impactful piece of art I’ve come across in my life, and I’m definitely coming back to it in the near future to study it more deeply. this is an absolute masterpiece , I was brought to tears listening to this and seeing the bacon go whirly swirly in a circle countless times. it absolutely moved my soul , and I don't think I can ever be the same. this bacon has changed my entire mental state , I am now at peace with who I am and what I will be doing later in my life. i have forgiven all my enemies and now I am a man of a pacifist life. I will move on , gotta move on , as the song says. the bacon is so inspirational , it shares it vast wisdom with all of us , and we are all so lucky that it would bestow it's great words with us. we are all children on bacon. hail bacon. hail bacon. The spinning bacon, rotating in one direction with this music... This made me tear up. How could such a bacon do such a thing? I'm struck by awe by this masterpiece. Especially when the bacon spins, showing its lightly salt covered tan skin. I can hear the crunch just from here, and so as the beautiful sound of the bacon scraping the dark, smooth velvet floor. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating bacon. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of bacon I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. This game is a majestic masterpiece, I’m not joking, here’s why: My personal (transcendental and existential) experience with this video (and game): A philosophical analysis A joke, nothing but some pixels that represent a joke, that is what this game presents itself as, or at least that was my experience. You are presented a large wrapped present, upon opening it you are presented with a simple duck. That’s it, there’s no more, the player expected more, but this is it. It subverted the audience’s expectations and looked at gaming entertainment in a whole new light. You would think it would be boring, having nothing to do, but this is what meditation is. The game however does not present itself as some short of meditation and tranquil game, it simply tells the player exactly what it is, a game about watching rubber and plastic duckies. The player is not forced to form a connection to tranquility, the game design itself is enough, there is some real brilliancy to this amazing game design. One may initially buy it as a joke, they might say “haha look at how stupid this is, ducks in a pool! That’s it!” Yes, that is it, and you must find beauty in that minimalism, it highly encourages you to find beauty in that minimalism through the sheer absurdity of the game. And I do find some enlightening ideas in this tranquil game, the value of absurdism and stupidity (and humor) is fully realized in this masterpiece- nay, that is an insult to the artistic intent of the game, it is not meant to be a masterpiece, it is meant to be the essence of a masterpiece. It is something stupid yet beautiful, it’s not certainly not trying to change the world, it’s not trying to make a profound impact on the player, and that’s what gives it human value, emotional value- and it did make a profound and personal impact on me. Stupidity as a concept I always loved, I consider it even essential to the human condition, but I was blind until this game, I was utterly blind to the full realization of the human condition. This game speaks to me yet it is so astonishingly silent; this game reeks of philosophical power yet it is so simple; this game encourages the player to think yet it does nothing. It is contradiction upon contradiction, this is on top of the fact that this game more obviously contradicts modern life, the life of chaos and knowledge. I wouldn’t say this game rejects knowledge and curiosity by having nothing to explore, it embraces it by letting the player explore already contained knowledge, it is a game about you and I, not about itself. An art piece that truly conveys an idea by having the idea already in us all along, it simply conveys the fact that we should explore the art inside all of us, stop focusing on the art outside, stop almost materialistically consuming art, simply enjoy it. This game profoundly conveys this better than almost any other piece of media I have seen to date, the silence in the end of films is nothing compared to this. This game works, it fuckin works goddammit (slams table, sobbing), but it only works in a short time frame, I personally see this as a commentary on death but that is much more speculative than any of my previous claims. Death is essential to this game, to any game, but this game makes it way more obvious, giving you ducks and the ducks eventually metaphorically dying when you leave the game for the last time. Duck after duck you are presented with, and with only 2 slides for them to interact, just enough for the player to not get bored and leave. The ducks slowly ramp up in wackiness, easing you in as the world never did. You get a single stone duck, the most significant of them all since it sinks, the only duck that sinks is the stone duck. This is brilliantly commentating on our idea of significance or insignificance, there is nothing inherently better about the stone duck, in fact I would argue it is worse than the floating ones since he doesn’t move, but he stands out and that’s all that matters. The game giving you the option to name the ducks gives them even more significance, a neat touch that adds so much to so little. The lighting as well, oh the lighting, it is so ingenious you have no idea! It may seem generic at first, but that’s what makes it so non generic! I have so much more to say about this game, but youtube genuinely cannot handle the length of this comment 😅
