The nice thing about raised numbers is you can print in a single color, pause the print, and swap colors without needing an AMS or any fancy swapping hardware. If you don’t want to faff about with swapping you can also print in white or yellow and then spray paint the whole thing black, then a light sanding across the numbers to bring out the yellow or white again.

Honestly, good job there ! The previous one targeted at the ikea drawers was a bit niche since it would mostly help people with big collection of pieces. But those ones are actually practical for almost anyone building a set. what if you added a very slight indent in the center or ridges in the corners of the lid so that when stacking the boxes the bottom will be somewhat held in place by the lid so they wont as easily shift.

The ruler is awesome, but the others unnecessary to me. I like to spread out my pieces in a single layer on the table so I can see them all and find the one I want. If I have to pack up before finishing a bag, I put a container just under the table surface, sticking out from the table, and then just push the pieces in. I give myself bonus points if none of them hit the floor.

@lukasloeber23102 күн бұрын
As someone who has been developing additive manufacturing / 3D Printing as a professional I see the downside: a lot of plastic waste. Yes 3D Printing has been getting more accessible over the last years but it is and most likely will stay one of the most expensive manufacturing technology on the market. I have been trying to print Lego out of metal for the last 10 years to challenge me. So far I have neither found or developed a technology capable of doing so. But it in the end it comes down to the added value of the product. So if you are using the trays and tools for 60+ years as people are doing with Lego bricks everything is fine 😉 Als since bamboolabs seems to be one of the better producers using it is close enough to the core value of Lego "det bedste er ikke for godt"
