I hope this was just fake/a copy cat story. There was indeed a case where a former construction worker was confessing on his deathbed that he accidentally killed a small child with (I think) a front loader and buried his body out of fear. The child was considered missing/kidnapped for all these years until that confession. It's so heartbreaking. For once the poor kid. But also what the parents went through, not knowing what happened to their kid. I understand the feelings and fears of the worker. But honestly, accidents like this must be reported. As terrible as it is, the family deserves closure...

Looks like a bunch of other people have already mentioned it. It’s good to see that most people find it repulsive & hope that it’s fake. However, while most people who hit someone while driving are ethical enough to stop, get out & try to help the victim, every now & then some driver will continue driving in the hopes of avoiding getting caught & taking responsibility for it. Repulsive indeed, although perhaps if someone is desperate in life, such as being broke &/or having big depts, taking responsibility for this may ruin their financial situation &/or social reputation, or if someone is hiding from the law, or some gang, or using someone else’s car without permission, or trying to impress someone, such as an employer or romantic interest, then taking responsibility for the crash may make then end up in local news & thus the details of the incident being publicly visible, which they may wish to avoid. This is all just speculating on my part on why there may be a multitude of reasons why someone may wish to avoid helping & taking responsibility for causing some accident, but of course, unless it somehow threatens your life, the morally right thing to do is to just accept responsibility for it.

I certainly hope it’s fake as well. The most standard response to accidentally hitting someone is to stop, get out, check if it’s safe, then to seek help & call emergency services. I can’t understand how anyone can roll someone over without taking action to help the victim. Even if it doesn’t seem likely, there’s always a slim chance that you could end up saving them.

Maybe he was afraid he's be liable for being tired... but maybe he had drugs in his system or something cuz if he did he DEFINITELY be liable. 22:45 ok, if you’re going to make up a story at least try to have the facts about the job you’re supposed to have correct. First- Asphalt isn’t poured that thick in one go. All you would do is mash the kid flat. Second- asphalt is a team job. One team follows the truck that slowly dumps out the hot asphalt, the paving grader smooths it out while men front and back rough rake it around to help even it. This will give you what the rough grade of the road will be. Then you come in with the rollers and plate compactors. You don’t just put the whole road down with the roller.

I live in quite a urban area, the entire road Infront of my apartment needed to be torn up and relayed The amount of people and vehicles involved was kinda surprising We all have this Bob the builder idea of it but really it's a massive team effort Even the vehicle used to pour the tarmac was pretty much the size of the entire road (if anybody can tell me the name of the big tractor looking thing that pours please tell me I've been wondering for years) Also it smells lovely 👌

I've seen enough roadwork being done that I should have known better, but that is a mark of excellent horror fiction (as long as it is, in fact, fiction).
